Great service- Great ammo
-
The Wideners team are great!
As far as the ammunition, as far as I am concerned there is no better personal defense ammo in any caliber than Federal HST. More and more law enforcement agencies are adopting this format. That in itself is enough to know it performs when needed and possibly a critical point when you are scrutinized when you have to use it. All of my carry weapons are loaded with HST rounds .
When your life depends on it, defend yourself with confidence in HST.Review by BrokeGunner (Posted on 1/7/2021)

Speer Gold Dot 38 Special +P 125 Grain JHP – 50 Rounds

Then you’re probably already a fan of the hallowed 38 Special – as well as its overpressure variant, the 38 Special +P. But if you aren’t yet acquainted with Speer Gold Dot, then it’s high time you give it a shot.
This is some of the best self-defense ammo you can choose for a 38 Special or 357 Magnum revolver (and a great pick for hunting as well). The Gold Dot jacketed hollow point wears a true bonded jacket, which Speer creates by submerging an alloyed lead core in an electrified chemical bath. In addition to possessing a uniformly thick jacket which enhances accuracy, the Gold Dot is abnormally tough – capable of conserving the vast majority of its weight if it has to rip through thick clothing or another barrier before accessing its target. And once its hollow point nose cavity connects with a soft medium, it commences exceptionally uniform terminal expansion.
Speer nestles their 125 grain Gold Dot in a nickel-plated brass case. Nickel reduces the force of friction so you can load and unload a cylinder quicker, and also shields the brass against corrosion. Nickel even makes the ammo shinier, which you might just appreciate if you ever have to find it in the dark in a hurry.
This is +P ammunition. Do not fire it in any firearm that isn’t rated for 38 Special +P. It’s safe for all 357 Magnum firearms. -

Pfft! No one ever had a good time firing so little ammo. By our estimate, you would need … hmm … yes, you would need at least 10% more 22 LR to have any chance at having actual fun.
AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW? We just so happen to be selling a tidy little 1,100-round package of 22 LR ammo right here. It’s a Federal Black Pack, for shooters who want to give all their mighty to bullseyes, plinkables, and the scampering buck-toothed menace.
This cartridge left Federal’s factory in Anoka, MN with something very precious: a 36 grain copper-plated hollow point bullet. It feeds reliably in all makes and models. It shoots cleaner than a cheaper non-plated alternative. It establishes a steady trajectory, and is advertised as having -5.6” drop 50 yards downstream of a 50-yard zero. And when it hits a target of the varmint variety, the CPHP uses its nose cavity to splay out and wreak extra damage.
Do you hate having more than one box? Then you will love a Federal Black Pack, which contains all of its ammo, loose, in one box. I tell you, those boys at Federal think of everything. -

Looks but have some issues to work through.
-
I had loaded the bullets in my 357 sig. I had a concern that in order to achieve the OAL for the load, that the case would be seating beyond the flat part of the bullet. I had emailed Zero about a week ago and had still not received any reply, I guess I’m too small of a fish to bother with. I’ll be making a trip to the range this coming week to see how they perform.
I had also loaded these same bullets for my 9MM. I ran into problems with maintaining a consistent OAL. I had set up my die to achieve a 1.115 OAL length but found an incredible range of lengths ranging on some as 1.105 - 1.235. All my cases were previously trimmed which would affect more of the crimping process anyway. I had to basically hand adjust my press for 25 out of the 50 bullets I had started with.
I can only speculate there might be a slight variance in the curve of the bullet which might allow it to contact the conical portion of the seating stem at different levels. In all fairness the issue could be with my die set which is a Lee 9mm 4 die set, though I had not run into any problems like this with any other 147 grn. round I had loaded, or even other weights for that matter, though none had the same shape end as the Zero’s.
I might do some experimenting to see if I can correct the problem with the 9mm, I do enjoy a challenge.

Nose of the bullet a little long for 357 sig
-
Not all 9mm bullets work with 357 sig. The reason is a relatively short the cartridge with a short bottle neck, therefore for the bullet needs to have a short or squatty tapered nose, so the neck will hold the flat portion of the bullet without being too long. While the photo of this bullet appears to be so, in reality the tapered nose portion of this bullet is longer than it appears in the photo. The result is this bullet barely works with a 357 sig cartridge, necessitating the use of a caliper, to seat the bullet at a minimum to still keep the cartridge the maximum length without going over. Saying this, if you are willing to jump through these hoops, these bullets cycle well and proved to be very accurat

Great product poor packaging.

I found what seemed like a good deal for reloading. I ordered and received a box that had not been packaged correctly considering the weight of the package. As a result I lost at least one third what I had ordered.
Just a little preventative taping would have made all the difference here.
If you order here it is highly likely your package will come damaged and you will be stuck with the loss.Review by Ben (Posted on 8/21/2025)

The price was great. Cheapest I found when they were on sale. The shipping cost that is charged was outrageous. It made the deal not so good. I think it was $18 for shipping. Tried to add more boxes, it added another shipping charge for every box. Good Product, Needs Better Packing
-
Good quality product, however whoever packs the shipment, needs to possibly wrap extra tape around the 1000 quantity bulk boxes. This is my second order, and the bulk box burst open in the shipping package and spilled out, had bullets mixed in with the brown packing paper. Another thing to try is also bag the box to contain any spills in the box . Could be a real mess if two different calibers are in the same shipment.

Gorgeous plating over beautiful shape cast lead
-
I cast lead for 9mm and tumble lube. I enjoy the process but reloading can be a little slower due to sizing and lubing. I wanted an alternative to speed up reloading on my turret press when I get a little short of completed 9mm rounds on hand or short on time. These are perfect! If I wasn't so invested into casting, I'd probably shoot these exclusively when at the range. Man they load slick and repeatable and are perfect for ranges that require no exposed lead.

Military Ballistics Industries .356 Diameter Bullets - 147 Grain FMJ – 1000 Count

$79.85
Cost Per Bullet 8¢ per bullet Product Type Bullets Bullet Weight 147 Grain Bullet Caliber 9mm Quantity 1000 Bullet Type Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Manufacturer Military Ballistics Industries Manufacturer SKU 9mm147Bullet This is not loaded ammunition. Unless it’s with a slingshot, you cannot fire these component bullets right out of the box. You’ve got to load them with brass, powder and primers first!
Sorry for the sternly worded warning. We just want to make certain these valuable 9mm component bullets go where they belong: to handloaders, who can use them to create target loads which perform very similarly to their preferred 147 grain self-defense ammo.
This 0.356” diameter projectile is a traditional FMJ. It is jacketed, not plated, and accordingly ought to play nice with a ported barrel or compensator. Its lead core’s base will be fully exposed to propellant gas, however, so do expect fouling of the barrel/suppressor.
Military Ballistics Industries manufactures these steel-free, nonmagnetic bullets brand new in the United States. They are not pulled from previously loaded ammunition. -

This cartridge’s bullet is three neat things: 36 grains and therefore supersonic out of a rifle, copper-plated so as to reduce (albeit by no means do away with) lead fouling, and hollow point, which enables it to dole out the terminal expansion that accelerates lethality on small game!
Winchester says this round’s 100-yard velocity equals 975 fps. Based on that alone, we extrapolate its trajectory to look like so: 0yds: -1.5” → 25yds: 1.5” → 50yds: 2.9” → 75yds: 2.5” → 100yds: 0.0” → 125yds: -4.7” → 150yds: -12.0”.

Who could blame you! With its impressive velocity and soft recoil, the straight-walled cartridge is really poised to change the way many people hunt. No one in their right mind would go hunting with a caliber that they haven’t yet thoroughly familiarized themself with, of course, which is why you need this target shooting ammo by Winchester, the 350 Legend’s inventor.
This reasonably priced range cartridge has a 145 grain projectile. It is five grains lighter than that which is offered by Winchester’s Deer Season XP bullet, 15 grains lighter than Power Max Bonded, and 35 grains lighter than the Super-X brand’s soft point. With this bullet’s full metal jacket you’ll enjoy relatively little bore fouling to deal with, and that its meplat is flattened means you’ll have an easier time reading your shots far downrange. This round’s brass casing is freshly drawn and ready for handloading! -
Armscor .357 Diameter Bullets - 158 Grain FMJ – 1500 Count

Cost Per Bullet 8.7¢ per bullet Product Type Bullets Bullet Weight 158 Grain Bullet Caliber 357 Mag, 357 Maximum, 38 Special Quantity 1500 Bullet Type Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Manufacturer Armscor Manufacturer SKU 52280 Please note: These are component bullets, not loaded ammunition. You can not fire these bullets unless you load your own ammunition.
Armscor is earning themselves quite a reputation here in America. Their Rock Island Armory pistols fill a nice niche for people who don’t want to auction off vital organs just to be able to afford a 1911. Their 22 TCM cartridge has promise, even if most of the people asking about it only want to know if they can fire it in a firearm chambered for 22 LR. (No.) And their component bullets, which are produced according to precise tolerances, consistently weighted, and deliver good accuracy at the range, are sought after by handloaders throughout the country.
This meaty slab of .357” diameter bullets is just the ticket for handloaders specializing in 38 Special or 357 Mag. With 1,500 bullets you be able to load 250 six-shot cylinders worth of ammo, and as full metal jackets they’re at once clean shooting and economically designed. Armscor draws a concentric jacket for what is ostensibly a target grade bullet, so your shots will benefit from satisfactory rotational stability and resultant flat trajectories. Buy ten of these cases of bullets and use them to ballast your canoe!Customer Reviews

Good price

My only reason for not rating higher is the lack of cannelure - .357 Mag loads won't stay seated under recoil. I want jacketed bullets for heavy loads. Price and delivery were great.

Third batch, same excellent results
-
I bought my third lot of 1500 Armscor 158 gn FMJ from Widener's. The transaction was great, as usual. Thank you Widener's!
From a statistical standpoint the third batch was equivalent to the first two batches in terms of average weight, average diameter and the standard deviations thereof. I have strong evidence that Armscor has their process under control, but I can't be sure because I have no way of knowing the order in which the bullets are made. Still, these projectiles are of excellent quality and great value for money.

My second batch, awww yeah
-
This review is for the second batch of Armscor 158 gn, 38/357 FMJ's I bought from Widener's.
I'll start by saying that buying from Widener's has always been a pleasure. The prices are fair, the communication is crystal clear, the rather dense product is well-packed and all of my transactions-to-date have been 100% satisfactory. In summary, Wideners' is an excellent supplier to the reloading community.
Now, regarding the bullets that just arrived. I've taken a random sample of 25 bullets just like I did with my first batch of 1500 and I measured & inspected each one. My random sampling method is rock-solid and thus my sample results can be used to make valid inferences on the entire lot of 1500 bullets. The results are great, statistically speaking. The weights and dimensions are on target with a low amount of random (expected) variation. Surface quality, bonding and other physical properties all look great. Absolutely no issues.
From my perspective, I don't think there's a better value in FMJ bullets than Armscor.
But I'll repeat. Armscor, please send primers!!!! :)Review by Steve (Posted on 7/2/2021)

It's not my favorite bullet weight but it was the only one I could get under these unprecedented circumstances we find ourselves in. I jumped on these as soon as I saw them as I was running low on my favorite 125 gr bullet. It's a great value and felt good shot in 38 Spl cases. I haven't tried them in 357 cases yet, but confident that it will perform as well.

Expect similar external ballistics and felt recoil to many popular carry loads for a more realistic training experience.

Not at all! This 300 AAC Blackout ammo will supply cleaner and quieter performance out of suppressed and unsuppressed pistols, carbines and rifles alike!
Winchester’s clean-burning powder isn’t the only reason for this round’s low-residue performance. The bullet’s base is fully encapsulated, which prevents hot propellant gasses from evaporating any lead off its core. That means virtually zero lead residue will accumulate on your bore or inside your suppressor!
This round’s quiet report is the work of its bullet. At 200 grains, it simply cannot become supersonic before clearing the muzzle, and accordingly cannot register a jarring supersonic crack on ignition.
The open tip is often confused for a hunting or self-defense bullet, but it is in fact not capable of terminal expansion. Its nose cavity is just the byproduct of the open tip bullet’s production process. Molten lead is inserted through the aperture so it can cool in place to become form-fitted – a feature which enhances accuracy.
Winchester’s 300 Blackout ammo is always made in America, where it is loaded with reloadable brass cases and very dependable primers and powder. This ammo is designed to fully cycle all semi-autos. -

Its sensitive non-corrosive primer is intensely dependable, and its polished brass casing holds a consistent propellant charge and feeds and ejects like a dream. Whether you’re planning on perforating some bullseyes or putting the fear of man into some unwelcome varmints, you’ll find this 22 WMR round perfectly up to the task.
This round’s 40 grain projectile wears a concentric copper jacket, a feature which not only enhances its accuracy but further ensures it will be able to predictably penetrate rodents’ hides and crows’ coarse feathers. As it penetrates, the bullet’s hollow point will yield significant expansion, giving it the terminal performance needed to render any argument as to whether a varmint once existed totally moot. Its fast 1,875 fps muzzle velocity gives this bullet a handily flat trajectory, and further complements its destructive terminal performance.Customer Reviews

But even if you haven’t sunk a whole bunch of money into buying a suppressor, you can still enjoy quieter performance when you take this ammo to the range!
This cartridge is loaded with an open tip bullet. A lot of folks mistake it for a jacketed hollow point, but the open tip is not going to expand after striking a threat or quarry. The bullet has an opening in its tip because molten lead was injected through it at the factory. That lead then hardened, thus forming the open tip’s evenly distributed core.
This round’s bullet has a fully jacketed base. That stops hot ignition from gasifying any lead in the bullet’s core and depositing it as fouling inside the rifle. The propellant is also unable to make this round’s heavyweight 200 grain bullet go faster than the speed of sound, which takes the sharp crack out of ignition. A bullet which never becomes supersonic will also exhibit better overall rotational stability throughout its trajectory!
Winchester loads this new production ammo in Illinois with reloadable virgin brass, non-corrosive primers and propellant that is formulated to further reduce barrel and suppressor fouling. -

Do you wish a cheaper alternative were available? Then you’re in luck, because there is! STEEL!!! Glorious steel! It’s the reason why Magtech Steel label 9mm ammo is so easy on the old checking account!
Just LOOK at this ammo’s handsome steel cases. They’re light blue in color because they’re zinc-plated (a feature which prevents corrosion resulting from long-term exposure to humidity). They’re also too rigid to be handloaded, but we reckon the vast majority of shooters don’t even know what “single stage” even means.
The bulk of steel-cased ammo is loaded with bullets which also contain steel. This Brazilian-made ammo is special, because its bullets don’t contain any steel at all. They’re old-fashioned lead-core brass-jacket FMJs, and they’re perfect for punching targets at all gun ranges! (Might want to confirm your range allows steel cases before investing in this case of ammo, though.) -

These bullets have concentric jackets with crimping cannelures to prevent setback and facilitate seating to the correct depth. They also have boat tails, which not only improve their ballistic coefficient but also make them easier to seat in the case.
These bullets are just as fit for loading 30-06, 300 Win Mag, 300 AAC Blackout, and a host of other .30 cal ammo. They are the same FMJs that Armscor would have loaded themselves had they not so graciously sent them over from the Philippines instead!Customer Reviews

Best 12gauge ammo made
-
This is THE 12gauge round for serious work. The tightest patterns Ive ever seen at 25 to 45 yards in a shotgun. It hits like a sledgehammer too. The 8pellet is actually my all time favorite round for 00 but the 8 pellet is tops too. The best 13gauge ammo ever made was the LE1321B but it sadly is no longer made.

Belom 7.62x39 123 Grain FMJ – 480 Rounds

$257.00
Product Type Ammo Manufacturer Belom Condition New Bullet Weight 123 Grain Bullet Type Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Use Type plinking at the range Casing Type Brass Quantity 480 Ammo Caliber 7.62X39 Primer Type Boxer Magnetic No UPC Barcode 8606110608185 Cost Per Round 53.5¢ per round Don’t be thrown off by the foreign sounding name! Belom is headquartered in Serbia, and was founded to better supply their nation’s armed forces as well as contribute to the local economy. In just a few years Belom has become internationally recognized for making dependable small arms ammo!
This 7.62x39 cartridge makes a swell pal to any AK-47 or SKS rifle. Its 123 grain bullet is an FMJ, with a hard lead/antimony alloy core and copper/zinc alloy jacket. The 90 percent copper jacket is hard enough to feed reliably and prevent accuracy-harming deformation under extreme pressure. It is also devoid of steel and therefore compliant with indoor ranges that ban the use of magnetic ammo.
This round’s case is made of pure brass and outfitted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer. It fires even cleaner courtesy of Belom’s proprietary double base propellant blend, so you’ll be able to spend less time scrubbing your rifle than if you had chosen steel-cased ammo. Belom’s ammo is engineered to perform on the harsh battlefield, so it is both waterproof and reliable in extreme temperatures.Customer Reviews

Accurate and Reloadable
-
Shot 5 rounds of this in my AR-47. The group was 1.5 inches at 75 yds. The 480 rounds will fit in the standard army ammo box. Shoots very clean and easy to reload. Glad to see it available again.

Blazer 380 Auto 95 Grain FMJ - 1000 Rounds

Product Type Ammo Manufacturer Blazer Condition New Bullet Weight 95 Grain Bullet Type Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Use Type plinking at the range, Subsonic Casing Type Aluminum Quantity 1000 Ammo Caliber 380 Auto (ACP) Manufacturer SKU 3505 Primer Type Berdan Magnetic No UPC Barcode 10076683035056 Cost Per Round 26.9¢ per round Looking for an inexpensive but reliable practice load for your .380 ACP handgun? Try this 1,000 round case from CCI's Blazer series.
Each cartridge in this case fires a 95 grain total metal jacket bullet at 945 feet per second. TMJ bullets lack the exposed lead bases of FMJ bullets and are a particularly good choice for indoor shooting due to the relatively poor ventilation of many indoor ranges.
Blazer cartridges are loaded in Idaho using non-corrosive primers and aluminum casings. Although they are not reloadable, aluminum casings lack the magnetic properties of steel cases and can therefore be used in many places (once again, indoor ranges) that prohibit magnetic ammo.

Magtech. Prvi Partizan. Sellier & Bellot. Shooters often turn these manufacturers for target-grade 223 Rem ammo. This is smart, because they make good ammo.
But what if you’d rather buy American? Perhaps something with FMJs made in Nebraska, and loaded at the U.S. government’s largest ammo factory? Well, in that case you’d better order yourself four 200-round field boxes of Hornady Frontier.
This is essentially “223 Rem M193,” as it is loaded with 55 grain bullets and powder that accelerates them to 3,240 fps out of a 24” test barrel. Center up 1.5” and aim to 200 yards, and trajectory will peak at around 1.5”. Very standard performance, and very familiar to anyone who knows what AR-15s do.
These mighty rangers are loaded with nonmagnetic bullets and noncorrosive primers, as well as unpolished yet very evidently correctly annealed reloadable brass cases. If you decide to leave the empty field boxes out in the woods, then at least have the courtesy to leave some dollhouse furniture behind so forest gnomes can move in. -
