300 Win Mag Ammo
A powerful, accurate cartridge used for everything from big game hunting to long-rane competition to police sniping, the .300 Winchester Magnum ammo is a hard-kicking round derived from the even more powerful (and even harder-kicking) .375 H&H Magnum. It also has the notable advantage of being compact enough to fit in the non-magnum rifle actions of proven rifles like the Remington 700.
.300 Win Mag ammunition fire a medium weight 165-200 grain bullet (competition bullets can reach up to 220 grains for stability) at a muzzle velocity of just over 3,000 feet per second. Soft point loads offer excellent performance against all types of North American game, while Sierra MatchKings and other precision bullets dominate the competitive arena.
One of the more interesting weapons chambered in .300 Win Mag is the M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle, which is based on the M24 rifle. The M2010's use of this powerful chambering enables American snipers to strike targets at longer range than those possible with .308/7.62 NATO rifles in difficult environments like Afghanistan.
