Shipping & Other Policies
Customer Requirements. Please read carefully.
PROOF OF AGE: In addition to being at least 21, you also have to meet the following requirements to place an order with us (our lawyers say so). You’ll be making a legal statement at checkout that everything here is true, so read carefully.
"I, as a customer of Wideners.com,:
– am allowed to buy and receive ammunition. By selling or delivering ammunition and/or firearm accessories to me, Wideners.com is not violating any state or local law or ordinance;
– have never renounced my United States citizenship;
– am not a fugitive;
– have never been and am not expected to be dishonorably discharged from any of the Armed Forces;
– have never been judicially declared as a mental defective nor have I been committed to any mental institution;
– am not under indictment for, or been convicted in any court, of a crime punishable by imprisonment greater than a year;
– am not an unlawful user or addicted to any controlled substance;
– am not an illegal or unlawful alien, and am not a nonimmigrant alien;
– am not subject to any kind of domestic violence restraining order;
– have never been convicted in any court of any crime of domestic violence; and
– will not export any defense articles in an unauthorized manner."
You also agree to release, hold harmless, indemnify, and pay to defend Wideners.com and its owners, agents, officers, and employees against any resulting civil liability or criminal prosecution if any of the above is determined to be not true. DON’T LIE - you will be responsible for the consequences.
You also understand and acknowledge that you alone are responsible for how the product you purchase is used. You agree to release, hold harmless, indemnify, and pay to defend Wideners.com and its owners, agents, officers, and employees against any damages and/or civil liability or criminal prosecution arising from or related to the products you purchase.
Method of Payment: We only accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. There is no charge added for credit card orders. If you are making payment with a debit card, please understand Wideners.com will take no responsibility for any overdraft charges associated with this purchase; this includes any charges associated with processing errors. You must provide the billing address for the credit card you intend to use. If the billing address does not match the card used, our address verification system will decline the transaction.
We no longer accept mail orders. We also no longer accept money orders or personal checks. Please do not send an order by mail, and do not send money orders or checks. If you do, it will be refused and returned to you, automatically.
Prices and Warranty: We try to keep our prices as low as possible, however, PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. Current market conditions are tight and commodity prices have increased tremendously forcing manufacturers to increase prices. We will pass these on as they occur. Some surplus ammunition is in short supply due to military order and usage which is at a very high level right now. Also, we reserve the right to LIMIT QUANTITIES on certain items in order for try to help ALL our customers. Wideners.com disclaims all liability for errors in pricing contained in e-mails and advertisements.
Wideners.com extends no warranty and is not liable for any claims or damages, or for the breach of any warranty, express or implied, whether of merchantability or fitness for any purpose or otherwise. Most new products are fully warranted by the manufacturer and product returns should be arranged with these manufacturers.
Shipping: All ammunition orders will be shipped UPS Ground or FedEx Ground (no PO Box addresses). We let you choose and pay for the method of shipment at checkout.
You accept title to your product when it is delivered, so we cannot be held responsible if it is stolen or damaged after that. To be clear, once your product is delivered to the address you have provided, you assume all responsibility for its safety and you release Wideners.com from all liability and responsibility.
C.O.D. Orders: We just quit taking them. The regulations are so strict. You can't give them cash anymore. So, we quit sending C.O.D.
Local and Pick Up Orders: We no longer offer walk in sales or local pick ups.
Tax Notice: Some states require us to collect sales tax on your order. To learn more about your potential sales tax charge, use the estimator tool that appears in your cart. If for any reason you have questions about this sales tax charge, you can always reach out to us.
Restricted Shipments: Some states do not allow mail order shipments of certain items. For example, we can not ship certain magazines to some locations. If it is illegal for you to order certain items in your area, do not order these items. Also, we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, California, or Massachusetts at this time, nor can we ship outside of the continental United States. If you have questions, please call us first before ordering.
Returns and Refunds: We can only accept returns for items that are damaged or do not work for the advertised purposes. No returns without prior authorization. We will charge a 25% restocking fee if your order return is not due to damage or not working for the advertised purpose. Damaged packages should be reported to the carrier who is responsible for the damage. Freight for the returned goods must be paid for by the buyer.
Due to the expenses incurred by returns, we make every effort to ensure your order is shipped accurately and that the product meets the standards of our advertising. If a return must be made, please note the following policies:
- No returns will be accepted after 30 days of the invoice date.
- Return shipping charges are the customer's responsibility. If the incorrect product was shipped by our error, a carrier call tag may be issued to return the item(s).
- Upon our receipt of the returned product(s), we reserve the right to evaluate the merchandise to determine if a refund or exchange will be made.
Note: A detailed note explaining the reason for the return and whether an exchange or refund is desired MUST accompany all returns. Be sure to include all current contact information including name, address, daytime phone number, email address and the original order number when possible.
Shortages and Damaged Goods: You must report any shortages or damaged goods to us within 14 days of receipt of the package or you have waived your right to an adjustment or refund. Please, check your orders when they come in and call us. We will help you. If you put it on the shelf and wait 3 years before you open it, we will not help you.
Important Safety Information: Prior to purchasing or using products from Wideners.com, please read all safety warnings and product information published by the product manufacturers. Manufacturers are in the best position to inform users about important safety information.
Order Cancellations: We have moved to a fully automated warehousing and order system. Because of this, your order will start getting packed up right when you place your order and we are unable to stop it until it is sitting on a pallet, all packaged up. Seriously, it is this fast. We get charged to take an order off the pallet, so if you want to cancel your order within the first hour, we must pass this cost of $40 on to you for all cancelled orders.
If you decide to instead refuse an order that we ship to you, we will charge you the $40 fee, plus 10% of your order for processing the return.
Finally, Wideners.com reserves the right to cancel any order if we determine that you have not followed any of these terms and policies. If we choose to cancel your order before the product ships out, you will receive a refund of the full amount, minus a $40 cancellation fee.
Backorders: WE DO NOT ACCEPT THEM! If the item is not in stock, we cannot add it to an order.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law: All legal complaints against Wideners.com must be filed within a court located in Washington County, Tennessee. I agree that any complaints filed within any other jurisdiction shall be immediately removed to a court within Washington County, Tennessee and I agree to reimburse Wideners.com and its owners, agents, officers, and employees for any costs they may each incur in defending against the complaint or effecting its removal until such time that the complaint is properly filed within a court located in Washington County, Tennessee.
I understand and acknowledge that Tennessee law will govern exclusively for all actions or complaints related to or otherwise arising from my use of the site or products.
Class Action Waiver: I expressly agree that any dispute resolution proceedings, including but not limited to, litigation, arbitration, and mediation, will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. By making this express agreement, I acknowledge and affirm that this is a knowing, voluntary, and permanent waiver of any right to bring federal, state, or local claims as any part of, or on behalf of, any class or any other individuals, before a court or other tribunal.
