22LR Ammo

.22 Long Rifle ammo is an extremely popular, versatile, and cost-effective rimfire cartridge suitable for varmint and small game hunting as well as competition and casual target shooting. Though not powerful enough for self-defense, it has helped many new shooters and CCW holders train in the fundamentals of firearm proficiency in part because you can fire bulk quantities at cheap prices.

.22LR cartridges typically come in two major varieties: subsonic "standard velocity" loads and supersonic "high velocity" loads. Standard velocity ammo typically fires a 40 grain bullet at a muzzle velocity of around 1,000 feet per second. "SV" ammo's avoidance of the sound barrier makes it ideal for suppressors and enhances close-range accuracy, an important benefit for match shooting. High velocity ammunition fires the same 40 grain bullet (or sometimes a lighter one) at a muzzle velocity of 1,200 feet per second and produces flatter trajectories and better terminal performance against game; it is also the preferred load for many semi-automatic firearms as it cycles their actions more reliably.

Most ammo manufacturers produce at least one .22 LR load; hollow points are obviously best suited for hunting, while basic lead nose bullets are used for target shooting. The bullets are typically plated with copper or covered in a variety of coatings to reduce lead fouling. Notable rimfire specialists include ELEY, which is a favorite of many competitive shooters, and CCI, which manufactures the famously reliable Mini-Mag as well as a wide variety of hunting and target shooting loads in every velocity and projectile category.

Looking for a little 22 LR ammo? Then keep looking. But if you’re in heated pursuit of bulk 22 LR ammo, then stick around! You’re about to get excited about Winchester USA bulk packs!

This cartridge’s bullet is three neat things: 36 grains and therefore supersonic out of a rifle, copper-plated so as to reduce (albeit by no means do away with) lead fouling, and hollow point, which enables it to dole out the terminal expansion that accelerates lethality on small game!

    Winchester says this round’s 100-yard velocity equals 975 fps. Based on that alone, we extrapolate its trajectory to look like so: 0yds: -1.5” → 25yds: 1.5” → 50yds: 2.9” → 75yds: 2.5” → 100yds: 0.0” → 125yds: -4.7” → 150yds: -12.0”.

Open this case of ammo to reveal two boxes. Open a box to reveal two compartments, each home to 500 lose rounds of target/plinking/hunting ammo. It’s a real journey!

You’ve finally found it – the 22 LR motherlode! Federal Premium’s Champion label ammunition is built for all your target-shooting and varmint-banishing needs, and it’s made in America by ice-fishing, snowmobile-riding, hotdish-devouring Minnesotans!

Most 22 LR rounds have a 40 grain bullet, which makes this 36gr load just a little lighter than usual. You won’t notice increased recoil or barrel fouling when you fire this standard-pressure yet high-velocity ammunition. The lead hollow point bullet’s nose profile is arguably a little less aerodynamic than that of a lead round nose, but it’s well worth it if you’d like training ammo that you can also effectively use to take small game. The LHP has a little terminal expansion in store for its recipient!

This all-purpose range ammo features carefully standardized brass cases, noncorrosive rimfire primers and low-fouling propellant charges. Order your case of 10 boxes and you’ll soon realize the true meaning of “fast shipping.”

This round’s relatively light bullet and subsonic muzzle velocity are certain to minimize your exposure to recoil, as well as serve up the flat trajectory which simplifies every kind of target shooting you could name!

Remington’s primer and powder serve their only purpose like clockwork, and they don’t produce excessive fouling during ignition. Order one box and you’ll get a whopping 550 rounds … loose-packed!

We’re sure you’ll have no trouble figuring out what to do with over half a thousand rounds of 22 LR ammunition. You’ve got bottles to blast, cans to cancel, and varmints to veto. You just need a little help getting said ammo, but that’s easy – we want to send it to your doorstep.

This 22 LR cartridge by Winchester features the ever so versatile 36 grain copper plated hollow point. At that weight it treats a rifle to a supersonic muzzle velocity, but this ammo’s just as suitable for handguns including semi-automatics. That copper plating isn’t just pretty to look at – it prevents rapid bore fouling so you can enjoy greater accuracy and less cleaning. The bullet’s hollow point unleashes rapid terminal expansion within small game to kill it deader, faster, but it’s no great crime to fire CPHP bullets during a relaxed plinking day, either.

American brass, primers and propellant add up to smooth performance however you slice it. Order this 3 lb, 12 oz box of ammo and you’ll be able to do your best work soon!

Is your strategic 22 LR ammunition reserve starting to look a little thin? Don’t go to the store to buy more, or go to the range to beg other enthusiasts for donations. Order a box or five of Federal Champion, which carries the day no matter what kind of target shooting you’re looking forward to!

This simple cartridge is armed with a 36 grain projectile. The light bullet achieves a muzzle velocity of 1,260 upon clearing a long gun’s barrel, and remains supersonic until it flies approximately 45 yards downrange. The lead hollow point’s name tells you all you need to know about it: non-plated, and equipped for terminal expansion if it plunges into a soft medium.

Federal puts 325 loose rounds into one big box, which spares you the inconvenience of opening multiple boxes while you’re enjoying a longer range day. That frees up more time to appreciate Federal’s strong, straight and concentric brass cases, as well as their reliable rimfire primers.

Forget about ordering a brick of 22 LR ammo. Order 10 bricks of 22 LR ammo like it’s your God-given right to! Winchester’s USA series 22 LR is designed just right for target shooting, plinking, and teaching small critters that it’s not safe to be small.

A 40 grain bullet is standard for a 22 LR cartridge, but this round’s 1,255 fps muzzle velocity is higher than standard. That’s why it’s high-velocity, so you can expect sufficient power to cycle a semi-auto, a level trajectory that simplifies aiming, and enough energy delivery on impact to knock a pest off of its perch. The lead round nose hasn’t got copper plating or a nose cavity, which makes it relatively inexpensive for Winchester to manufacture.

Winchester produces this noncorrosive, nonmagnetic and clean-igniting rimfire ammunition right here in America. If we sell ammo, then it’s already right here in our warehouse. That’s why we consistently shock people with the speed of our shipping!

This 22 LR cartridge is made by Blazer, the Idahoan manufacturer whose primary claim to fame is their fine aluminum cased centerfire ammunition. They apply the same commitment to quality and affordability that they do to that to their brass cased rimfire products as well, so this big box of rounds presents exceptional value that you can enjoy all day long.

This cartridge sports a 38 grain projectile. Its bullet’s uniform weight distribution and round nose, as well as the supersonic muzzle velocity with which it starts its trip downrange, give it great accuracy. The bullet is made of lead not only in order to lower its cost, but because lead is a fine choice for varmint detail given its capacity to expand and tumble around in small game.

These rounds’ propellant burns clean, and their primers ignite clean -- you won’t have a great amount of residue gumming up your action for having fired a few of them. Blazer’s brass casings cycle effortlessly, letting you focus even better on your aim.

“Aguila” doesn’t just mean “eagle” in Spanish. It is also used to refer to something large or powerful, or a leader. And that makes perfect sense, because Aguila is one of the world’s leading rimfire ammunition producers!

If we had to pick a favorite 22 LR bullet, it would probably be the copper plated hollow point like this round is loaded with. Some people say they don’t notice a difference, but we’ve definitely appreciated how that copper plating helps to slow down lead residue accumulation which slowly weakens accuracy. And while the CPHP is a perfectly acceptable target shooting projectile, we also appreciate a bullet that expands inside small game. You never know when a varmint might rear its buck-toothed head.

This cartridge’s bullet weighs in at 38 grains, and its muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s barrel is well beyond supersonic. Even if your semi-auto is a pistol, you can count on so powerful a 22 LR cartridge to properly cycle it. Aguila’s brass also supports smooth functionality, making this ammo a safe go-to pick no matter what you’re firing!

Grab this 5,250 round case of .22 LR ammunition for all your rimfire shooting needs--high volume target practice or mass varmint extermination. This ammo comes in 10 boxes containing 525 rounds each and delivers reliable performance at a very reasonable price.

Each cartridge in this case fires a 36-grain copper plated hollow point (CPHP) bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,260 feet per second. The hollow point expands and fragments for excellent lethality against squirrels, rabbits, nutria, and other pests. This is "high velocity" ammo that performs well in semi automatic pistols and rifles and maintains effectiveness at medium range. It can be fired through a suppressed firearm but will produce a loud boom or crack as it crosses the sound barrier, which somewhat reduces the suppressor's usefulness.

Champion ammo is intended to be both affordable and effective. It is loaded in Anoka, Minnesota by Federal Premium Ammunition, a division of the Vista Outdoor group.

    Customer Reviews

Ok for rifle. Auto pistol is a disappointment.

Consistency from round to round will not make your automatic pistol cycle, correct. There are rounds under powered by 50%. It could be just the lot of ammunition that I have because I have never experienced this before from a federal product. I will not buy this blue box federal again I have also heard my contemporaries complain about Winchester white box. I will have to look into this further.

Review by Sharpshooter (Posted on 3/22/2023)

Very good ammo for a very good price

I've been very impressed over time with how consistent and accurate this stuff is. In two old target rifles, it's been as or more accurate than any mid- to high-grade match ammo I've tried. With one, an old Martini, if I do my part I've gotten sub-two inch groups at 100 yards on a good day.

    Consistent, clean, and accurate.

This .22 LR ammunition from Federal's Champion series comes in a 525 round value pack that is ideal for high-volume shooting. These rounds can be used for both small game hunting and target shooting, as the hollow point bullet is equally apt to putting holes in varmints and paper.

Each cartridge in this pack fires a light 36-grain bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,260 feet per second. This is considered to be in the "high velocity" category and offers strong fragmentation for quick elimination of pest animals. While this ammo will produce a "crack" as it crosses the sound barrier, it will still benefit somewhat from the noise reduction properties of a suppressor. The bullet is copper plated for reduced fouling compared to bare lead projectiles.

Champion ammo is loaded in Anoka, Minnesota by Federal Premium Ammunition. Federal is a division of the Vista Outdoor group, which also includes Speer, Estate, CCI, and many other notable shooting brands.

This is a versatile 22 LR cartridge from Federal’s Game-Shok line of ammunition. Its 40 grain projectile is plated with copper, so it will protect your weapon’s bore from quickly leading over the course of an extended target shooting session. As a round nose projectile, the bullet doesn’t offer expanding terminal performance -- still, such a profile provides the straight flight and impact energy you need to drop little critters from afar, and that the lead in the bullet’s core is mostly protected by copper plating means you can eat your quarry after the fact with little concern for lead contamination.

The profile of this round’s bullet, coupled with Federal’s own exactly drawn brass casing, ensures it will cycle soundly through bolt action and semi-automatic alike. Federal’s considerable experience is also apparent in this round’s non-corrosive rimfire primer, as well as its propellant which is formulated to leave behind as little residue as possible. With 5,000 of these accurate and deadly little numbers, what you’ll be able to do with your 22 will be limited only by your imagination.

This .22 Long Rifle ammo from Federal's Game-Shok series is a dependable, clean-shooting choice for both target shooting and small game hunting. These cartridges can be used in both manual and semi-automatic pistols and rifles.

Each cartridge in this 500 round "brick" fires a 40-grain copper plated solid bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,240 feet per second. This is "high velocity" ammo which produces good medium-range performance and terminal ballistics. This ammo can be fired through a suppressor to reduce the muzzle report somewhat but will generate some unavoidable noise as the bullet crosses the sound barrier. Against game, this ammo requires more careful shot placement than hollow point loads but is less destructive--a useful property for meat hunters.

Federal Game Shok ammo is loaded in Anoka, Minnesota. Federal is a division of Vista Outdoor, which produces a wide variety of products related to hunting, sport shooting, and defense.

Inexpensive, reliable, and American-made, CCI Blazer ammo is the go-to range load for many shooters in both centerfire and rimfire varieties. This 5000-round case is sure to keep you busy for a while!

This particular load falls into the high velocity range, firing a 40 grain solid bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,235 feet per second. Some semi-automatic firearms cycle more reliably with this ammo, though suppressed guns will experience a sonic "crack" as the bullet passes the sound barrier.

CCI ammunition has been manufactured in Lewiston, Idaho since the 1950s; the company is a division of Vista Outdoor, which also owns Speer, Federal, and many other notable shooting brands.

A 100-round box of 22 LR? That’s really funny! Imagine being content with only firing a 22 LR rifle or pistol 100 times. Har har! But let’s get serious. When you want to really get into the swing of target shooting – or show small game animals why they shouldn’t have gotten too close to you – then a 5,000-round case of Winchester Wildcat 22 LR is the only way to go!

This cartridge features the 40 grain DynaPoint. It is a copper-plated hollow point with an extremely small nose cavity. The DynaPoint delivers terminal expansion as it penetrates its target, but its rounded nose profile also promotes more reliable feeding! It is a clean-shooting projectile, which puts a thin barrier of copper between itself and the barrel to reduce bore fouling. The DynaPoint also maintains a flat trajectory, as its 1,255 fps muzzle velocity is substantially faster than the speed of sound.

This ammunition is made in America with straight brass cases, responsive rimfire primers and low-fouling propellant. Each of this case’s ten boxes is loose-packed, which means you’ll have less cardboard to tear apart while you’re rapidly stuffing magazines full.

There’s no shame in running out of 22 LR ammunition. The only shame is not asking for help when you need it! And your dear old friends at Widener’s are always standing by to hook you up with the good stuff, like this 25 pound 3,200 round treasure trove of Minnesota-made ammo by Federal!

This cartridge’s bullet weighs in at 40 grains – perfectly standard, and capable of ripping out of a rifle at a velocity of 1,200 fps. That’ll prevent transonic destabilization from weakening accuracy until approximately 30 yards, and also create enough pressure to let a semi-automatic do its thing. The LRN delivers a predictable trajectory, although it will not end its performance with terminal expansion. It also isn’t copper plated, which makes it the budget-conscious shooter’s preferred solution to high-velocity shootin’!

Federal’s straight cases, sensitive primers and clean-igniting powder all do their jobs equally well. And so do we, because we ship fast as the blazes. You’ll be plinking with the best of them in no time!

This makes good hunting ammo on the count of its bullet. At 36 grains it achieves a 1,280 fps muzzle velocity, perfect for the flat trajectory you want for dispatching varmints. The hollow point bullet will flatten out inside of a varmint as well, rendering a large wound cavity which no crow or squirrel is equipped to shrug off. The bullet is additionally plated with copper, so you can look forward to greater accuracy over the course of your hunt or target shooting time.

Remington’s versatile 22 LR ammo is non-corrosive and nonmagnetic, with uniform brass cases that help semi-autos, bolt-actions, revolvers and pumps operate efficiently. It’s (nearly) as good as gold!

You didn’t start the war on small game. But you’re sure as heck going to finish it, because you’re about to order the small game hunter’s ultimate weapon: a 50-box case of CCI Mini-Mag 22 LR ammunition!

This round’s 40 grain bullet looks just like a normal copper-plated hollow point. Indeed, it is copper plated, which serves to conserve accuracy by minimizing lead fouling. But instead of terminal expansion, the segmented hollow point’s nose cavity is designed to unleash terminal fragmentation. It causes the bullet to break apart into three sharp fragments which inflict catastrophic damage inside a varmint’s small, delicate body.

CCI’s clean-burning powder and trusty primer spark up to deliver a steady 1,235 fps muzzle velocity out of a rifle barrel, so you can truly take aim at faraway critters. And regardless of which kind of firearm you’re firing, CCI’s premium brass will cycle right through it.

CCI of Idaho makes some of the finest 22 LR ammunition in the world. It doesn’t matter if you’re a rookie or an expert. It doesn’t matter what kind of firearm you’re using. If you want reliable, accurate performance, you only need to know three letters: C, C and I.

This Clean-22 cartridge has a very special 40 grain lead round nose bullet. It nearly eliminates lead fouling of the barrel courtesy of its thin polymer coating, and it can also reduce fouling of a suppressor by up to 80%. The polymer is highly resistant to heat, so it doesn’t leave behind any of its own residue that could gradually worsen accuracy. As a nice bonus, that polymer is also camo colors: black, brown and green!

This round’s non-corrosive primer and clean-burning powder work in tandem to deliver a supersonic muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s barrel. The sleek, ballistically efficient bullet does a great job of retaining superior downrange velocities, so you’re all set to do your fanciest shooting once you’ve got a 400-round jar of CCI’s high-velocity camo ammo!

Don’t let this ammo’s brand name lead you astray. CCI’s “Mini-Mag” label 22 LR ammo is exactly the stuff you want for target shooting with any 22 LR firearm. Nothing’s quite so satisfying as slicing open the sticker on the Mini-Mag plastic case, sliding its lid open, and going to town with 100 high-quality rounds.

This cartridge’s 40 grain bullet is loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,235 fps (out of a rifle barrel). That’s fast enough to deliver a flat trajectory out of rifles and pistols alike, and generates enough pressure to cycle any semi-automatic. The bullet’s round nose profile doesn’t permit it to expand (hence its suitability for target practice), but its copper plating does work to noticeably cut down on lead fouling.

CCI’s propellant is similarly designed to promote a cleaner barrel, so you can expect greater accuracy as your range session grinds on. CCI is a virtuoso when it comes to rimfire primers, and their brass cases are also top notch – two more reasons this ammo will swim through your chamber without a hitch.

These 36-grain hollow point rounds deliver the speed, power, and ballistics you need, and the Mini-Mag hollow point bullet is a top design for varmint hunting.

These bullets come out of the muzzle with an initial velocity of 1,260 feet per second and an energy of 126 foot pounds. They maintain excellent speed, even at a distance, with a velocity that only drops to 1,003 feet per second once they reach 100 yards. If sighted to 75 yards, they only drop 3.2 inches at 100 yards. Thanks to CCI’s excellent design and superior primers and cases, these bullets feed smoothly and give you consistent, accurate shots.

CCI is one of the top names in the world of ammunition. They have leading designs for rimfire cartridges and deliver superior rounds for target shooting, hunting, and varmint control.

This "brick" of .22 LR ammunition from Federal's Gold Medal series can be used for both casual and competitive shooting. As "high velocity" ammo, these rounds will perform reliably in semi-automatic, bolt-action, and single-shot firearms.

Each round in this case fires a 40 grain solid bullet at a supersonic muzzle velocity of 1,200 feet per second. These cartridges can be fired in a suppressed gun but will produce the inevitable sonic "crack" as the bullet reaches the sound barrier.

Federal rimfire ammunition is made in Anoka, Minnesota and is frequently used for small game hunting as well as target and match shooting.

We only sell this ammo to kings. You? You can order as many cases as you like.

CCI was founded in Idaho in 1951 and today stands as America’s most reputable manufacturer that specializes in rimfire-primed ammunition. Mini-Mag is CCI’s first and best-selling line of 22 LR. You’ll appreciate why before you’ve finished firing your first of ten 300-round boxes.

This round is loaded with the versatile copper-plated hollow point projectile. Its thin copper exterior enables the bullet to feed smoothly without the need for waxy lubricant, thus promoting cleaner performance in semi-automatic firearms. This is a high-velocity round thanks to its relatively lighter 36 grain projectile. Its 1,260 fps muzzle velocity will provide enough juice to reliably cycle a magazine-fed pistol or rifle. If the little hollow point lands on its target with enough momentum, it will widen out and kill the bejeezus out of a small game animal.

When you fire this ammo out of a rifle, its 0.125 G1 ballistic coefficient will prevent transonic destabilization until approximately 42 yards. Expect steady ballistic performance and consistent accuracy courtesy of CCI’s highly standardized primers and powder charges!

If we could only recommend one brand of 22 LR ammunition, it would probably have to be CCI. The Idahoan company has over seven decades’ experience making high-quality ammunition and ammo components, and their original Mini-Mag label is still their most popular.

Don’t let “Mini-Mag” trick you into thinking this is 22 WMR or some kind of strange 22 LR +P ammo. It’s loaded to produce a safe chamber pressure for any 22 LR firearm, regardless of its design or year of manufacture. Semi-automatic firearms especially like this ammo – not just because its copper-plated hollow point bullets minimize fouling and promote reliable feeding, but also because its 36 grain projectiles and 1,260 fps muzzle velocity mean that it should cycle any semi-auto just fine.

We love this ammo for regular plinking and serious target practice, but it’s a great choice for varmint hunting as well. Once the CPHP bullet’s nose cavity fills up with pressurized soft tissue, it will undergo the quick terminal expansion that inflicts greater damage to a small quarry. Order a box of 300 rounds – you won’t regret it!

Grab a few of these boxes for some affordable trigger time at the range or in the field.

Each cartridge in this box of 50 fires a 40-grain solid bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,240 feet per second. The bullet is plated to reduce fouling and promote more reliable cycling in your firearms. This ammo is classified as "high velocity" or supersonic ammunition, and delivers good medium range performance at the cost of increased noise (some of which cannot be mitigated by a suppressor). Aguila ammunition is manufactured in Mexico and has a reputation for cheap, quiet rimfire loads as well as high-performance ammo that can compete on an Olympic level. This is achieved via Aguila's "Prime" technology which ensures clean-burning propellent, deburred brass casings, and dependably igniting primers which all function at a consistent level in order to yield tight, uniform accuracy. At the top of each of these Super Extra .22 Long Rifle rounds rests a 40-grain copper-plated round nose (CPRN) projectile.

The 40-grain weight is a match for many other options in the caliber and is loaded to cycle semi-automatic rifles and pistols of all makes. A sleek, rounded nose grants the round smooth feeding while the copper plating helps to reduce lead fouling; this not only extends the optimal range of accuracy between cleanings but contributes less overall wear upon the firearm. In addition, these .22 LR bullets feature enlarged midsections which grab a greater area of rifling for incredible spin stability that helps to shrink group sizes.

CCI Velocitor .22 LR ammo is the last word in varmint extermination. These "hyper velocity" cartridges deliver explosive fragmentation that makes quick work of squirrels, rabbits, nutria, and other pest animals with one well-placed shot. This ammo is compatible with both semi-automatic and manual action firearms. Grab this 5,000 round case for great bulk savings!

Each round in this case fires a 40-grain copper plated hollow point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,435 feet per second. This is about 40% faster than standard velocity loads; the higher velocity flattens the projectile's trajectory and encourages rapid expansion. The main downside is a greatly increased muzzle report, which a suppressor can reduce to a limited (but noticeable) extent.

CCI (Cascade Cartridge Inc) is an Idaho-based manufacturer of quality primers and rimfire ammunition. The company is part of Vista Outdoor, a group of shooting related brands that also includes Federal, Estate, Speer, and many others.

When you’ve got a brick of CCI Velocitor, the world is your shooting gallery. Punch squirrels out of trees. Teach porcupines that needles aren’t welcome on your property. Give crows a real reason to wear black! It’s all in a day’s work for this ultra-velocity 22 LR ammunition from Idaho.

That’s right. This is bona fide ultra-velocity ammunition, which pushes its 40 grain bullet to a muzzle velocity of 1,435 fps – without exceeding SAAMI pressure specs. Such a fast-moving bullet really hauls downrange, exhibiting the flat trajectory that simplifies long-range aiming in the process. The bullet’s superior momentum also enables it to hit hard: over 150 ft lbs striking energy at 25 yards. Ka-BLAM!

The copper-plated hollow point bullet doesn’t just sink deeply into its unfortunate target. It is also built to undergo terminal expansion, which is why it reliably inflicts a wound column that is significantly wider than 0.22” in diameter. The CPHP is securely nestled in the mouth of a primo brass case, with one of CCI’s own outstanding rimfire primers just behind it. A swell choice for any gun!

What’s it going to be? Weak and slow 22 LR ammo for your upcoming varmint hunts? Or would you rather have powerful and hyper-velocity 22 LR ammo instead? If you characteristically answer questions correctly, then you’re going to love CCI Stangers!

This cartridge’s abnormally high 1,640 fps muzzle velocity is not the product of a hotter-than-standard propellant charge. Its bullet is just lighter than normal at 32 grains, which is why it achieves its impressive feat of velocitude without building up too much pressure behind it. Once the little copper-plated hollow point clears a rifle’s muzzle, it won’t wobble as a result of transonic destabilization until it reaches around 83 yards. It still punches with 90 ft lbs of energy at that distance. Alongside the CPHP’s capacity for broad terminal expansion, your small quarry won’t stand a ghost of a chance.

This ammo is loaded in Idaho with CCI’s super-reliable rimfire primers, as well as corrosion-resistant nickel-plated brass cases that run through a semi-automatic like greased lightning. This case of ammo is divided into 50 attractive plastic boxes with sliding lids!

That’s not a typo! CCI’s “22 Stangers” series 22 LR ammunition is the same as their usual Stinger ammo – it’s just renamed in honor of 22plinkster, a YouTuber who shares cool new trick shot videos every week. If you want to do your own fancy shooting and maybe cut down a few varmints in their prime, this is the rimfire ammo to do it with!

This cartridge is loaded with a very light 32 grain bullet, and its muzzle velocity is accordingly wicked fast at 1,640 fps. Its 0.084 G1 ballistic coefficient means the bullet will show off an extremely flat trajectory until it becomes destabilized as the result of going subsonic at about 85 yards. The round’s light bullet and fast muzzle velocity balance each other out to provide a standard chamber pressure, so you can count on reliable cycling from a semi-auto.

The copper-plated hollow point bullet is designed to minimize the rate of barrel fouling, but its nose cavity is its more exciting feature. That’s how it produces terminal expansion within small game, which makes the fast-flying bullet that much deadlier to squirrels and other bothersome beasts.

This ammo is loaded in Idaho with CCI’s famously reliable primers, as well as low-friction nickel-plated brass cases. They’re great if you want the smoothest possible cycling out of your mag-fed autoloader!

These high velocity cartridges offer good accuracy and reliable cycling in semi-automatic firearms. They can be fired through suppressors, but will produce a distinctive sonic "crack" as the projectile exceeds the speed of sound.

Each round in this box of 50 fires a 40 grain lead round nose (solid) bullet. The bullets are coated to reduce fouling and lead exposure.

CCI ammo is loaded in Lewiston, Idaho and is famous for its reliable ignition and cycling. The company is a division of Vista Outdoor.

This .22 Long Rifle ammo is designed for advanced speed and capability. The Velocitor .22 Long Rifle ammo has a muzzle velocity of 1,435 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 183 foot pounds, making it one of the more powerful .22 LR rounds available. It has a hollow-point 40-grain bullet, creating a perfect round for small game hunting.

The .22 Long Rifle is the all-American cartridge. It dates all the way back to 1887, but it remains one of the most popular rounds for a wide variety of purposes, including small game hunting, competition shooting, and casual plinking. The round delivers decent accuracy and speed in an affordable package, giving gun owners a reliable option for varmints and small game.

CCI is a top brand for small-caliber and rimfire ammunition. They create affordable yet reliable options for .22 and .17-caliber rifles, giving small game hunters plenty of options for both the gun range and the fields.

Do you intend to carry a semi-automatic 22 LR pistol for self-defense? Then take a piece of advice: choose CCI ammunition. The Idahoan company is an absolute virtuoso in its field – namely, the production of rimfire-primed ammo – and supplies all the quality the defense of your life demands.

And it only gets better. Now that CCI has developed the Uppercut cartridge, you can have all that quality in a round specifically designed for positive functionality in a semi-auto pistol with a 2.5-4 inch barrel.

This round’s 32 grain bullet hits a deceptively high muzzle velocity: 950 fps, which is hot for the 4” test barrel CCI used to record it. In addition to cycling the pistol reliably, that muzzle velocity ensures the bullet reaches the target with at least 64 ft lbs of kinetic energy.

For reference, minimum striking energy of 260 ft lbs is advisable for defense. But thanks to its rugged copper jacket and skived nose cavity, the jacketed hollow point has its best chance at achieving sufficiently deep penetration and wide expansion.

#12 shot hasn’t got the widest variety of applications. If you manage to take a tom turkey with it, then you deserve a Nobel prize for hunting (if in fact the Nobel Committee awards a prize in that category). No, what the .05” diameter pellets excel at, and are only good for, is taking out nearby varmints like rats and house mice. But who wants to carry around a shotgun just in case they cross paths with a rodent?

With this 22 LR shell by CCI, you’ll be ready for a spontaneous rat encounter so long as you’re carrying a small pistol. This round’s 31 grain load of #12 shot tears out of the muzzle at a subsonic speed of 1,000 fps, so it has got the range, spread, and power you need to prematurely end any pest’s cheese pilfering days.

Some 22 LR shells have crimped ends to hold in their shot, but we’ve found that they can present problems extracting on occasion. We personally prefer this round’s plastic tip, which doesn’t require the rim of the brass casing to change upon ignition. CCI’s responsive primer and consistent propellant charge promote reliable performance, but take caution that this round isn't intended to cycle a semi-automatic.
