9mm Ammo

9mm Luger ammo has been a runaway favorite among concealed carriers and police agencies. In fact, 9x19 is one of the older handgun cartridges on the market with a history dating all the way back to the early 1900's.

The Luger round was used extensively by the Germans in the P08 and P38 handguns. In the U.S., the cartridge can be considered something of a sleeper hit in its early years, only achieving major popularity in the 1980's with the rise of CCW and semiautomatic pistols.

The 9mm Luger ammo you'll find for sale here at Widener's typically features 115, 124, or 147 grain bullets. Heavier bullets offer strong penetration but lower muzzle velocities, with the 147 grain version falling into the subsonic range. 115 or 124 grain jacketed hollow points from Speer, Federal, Winchester, and many other manufacturers produce a muzzle velocity of around 1,100 feet per second and produce relatively mild recoil while still delivering excellent terminal performance. If you like to shoot centerfire ammo in high volumes, the low cost and low recoil of the 9mm makes it your best bet! Generally, you can expect rounds loaded with full metal jacket bullets to be cheaper than the hollow point defensive counterparts with your best buy coming in bulk.

There have been many handguns chambered for the 9mm Luger, but the most popular for concealed carry today are typically compact pistols like the SIG P938, Glock 43, S&W M&P Shield, Springfield XDs, Ruger LC9, and Kahr CW9. Be sure to take a look at our in-stock 9mm ammo below.

Veteran ammunition enthusiasts already know that most of the world’s steel-cased ammo originates in Russia. But Russia hasn’t monopolized the steel-cased ammo business – not by a long shot. Magtech – a subsidiary of the supermassive CBC Global Ammunition group, which is headquartered in Brazil and one of the largest ammo producers in the world – is officially in the steel-cased ammo game!

This 9mm ammo’s steel cases are zinc-plated. They’re prettier because of it, and they get a little extra protection from corrosion as well. Each steel case is fitted with a noncorrosive primer, filled with clean-burning propellant, and seated with a completely nonmagnetic projectile. (Steel cases aren’t reloadable, which does make this ammo a one-and-done kind of affair.)

That projectile is the humble full metal jacket: a bullet which can’t expand upon penetrating soft tissue, but which does feed and chamber with all due efficiency. This round’s muzzle velocity (which Magtech recorded with a 4” test barrel) is just 10 fps faster than the speed of sound. The 115 grain FMJ will issue a supersonic cracking report on ignition and conserve about 91% of its starting velocity 50 yards downrange.

DO NOT FIRE THIS AMMO IN A CARBINE. DOING SO CAN DESTROY YOUR FIREARM – AND WORSE YET, SERIOUSLY INJURE YOU.

Handloading is a fun and rewarding hobby that we’d recommend to almost anyone (excluding folks who don’t have enough common sense to safely handle explosives).

But what if you have no intention of handloading your 9mm ammo? Well, in that case, you’d might as well save money by investing in Blazer Aluminum. These rounds are loaded with heat-treated aluminum cases: reliable in semi-automatic pistols, significantly more affordable than brass, and not reloadable!

This cartridge’s 115 grain bullet is light enough to reliably exit a 4” barrel at a velocity of 1,145 fps – approximately 20 fps faster than the speed of sound. The FMJ does not contain any steel, and therefore will not attract a magnet.

This ammo is loaded with noncorrosive Berdan primers, thus making it incompatible with conventional component primers. It’s Blazer’s way of discouraging people from attempting to reload it.

Get some great multi-role 9x19mm ammo of reputable CCI manufacture with this 1000 round bulk pack of Blazer Brass rounds. Blazer Brass ammo comes out of the CCI factory and is assembled using non-corrosive CCI primers. CCI or Cartridge Case Inc. is linked a third brand, Speer, and has origins in production dating back to 1953. Their modern innovations in high performance ammunition as well as their notable consistency in quality production have netted the CCI and Blazer Brass brands with contracts for law enforcement and international shooting teams.

These rounds use reloadable brass casings and 115 grain FMJ projectiles and will match the ballistics of many other popular plinking choices. 115 grains is light in the caliber and functions in a wide range of pistols while offering very manageable recoil. In addition, the bullets have a protected base which reduces lead exposure during the firing process and keeps it out of the air and off your hands.

Name one situation that can’t be improved by the addition of 500 rounds of 9mm ammunition from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Can’t be done! That’s why this case of MAXXTech range ammo is only going to make your life better (unless you drop it on your toe – that’s a big ouch in our book, hombre).

Nothing fancy here – exactly what you want when your goal is to shoot a whole bunch of neat targets. The 115 grain bullet is the lightest you’re going to find on a 9mm range load, which is why this round’s muzzle velocity clocks in at a supersonic 1,217 fps. The full metal jacket’s hard copper-alloy coating and round nose profile both work toward smooth feeding, and the bullet’s complete lack of any steel makes MAXXTech a safe choice for ranges that forbid magnetic ammo.

Noncorrosive Boxer primers equal zero rust. Brand new brass cases promote cleaner overall performance, although word on the street is that MAXXTech’s brass is no good for handloading. Leave it on the range floor so the staff can melt it down into decorative paperweights – or leave it on the ground outside so the bugs have a safe place to hide when it rains.

We are tackling life’s biggest philosophical questions here at Widener’s. The most pressing one is this: Is it possible to have too much 9mm target ammo? We posed this question to our Magic 8 Ball 100 times in a row, and each time it said “VERY DOUBTFUL.” Then we ate egg salad sandwiches and concluded that it is in fact impossible to have too much of any type of ammo, least of all 9mm.

This ammo hails from Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it was manufactured by Pobjeda Technology. They’ve been in business for over seven decades, although this particular ammo was produced for the commercial market just recently. No dusty old military surplus with corrosive primers here!

This ammo’s Boxer-primed virgin brass cases seat 124 grain full metal jacket projectiles. They do not contain steel. They cannot attract a magnet. Their 70% copper, 30% zinc jackets are plenty hard and will secure reliable feeding into a semi-auto’s open chamber. Their 1,126 fps muzzle velocity won’t punish high-volume target shooters with heavy recoil. This ammo conforms to C.I.P. specifications for chamber pressure and will cycle a semi-automatic.

This huge 1,000 round case of 9mm Luger ammo from PMC (Precision Made Cartridges) will last you multiple range sessions and save you a bundle in the process! These rounds fire a light 115 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,150 feet per second and deliver typical 9mm Parabellum ballistics.

As a standard pressure load, this ammunition is ideal for use in subcompact or older firearms, or by anyone who doesn't like the extra recoil of +P ammo.

PMC ammunition is loaded in South Korea and uses non-corrosive Boxer primers. Poongsan, the maker of PMC ammo, is a major defense contractor that produces its own propellant, brass, and other components for optimal quality control.

If you shot a lot of 9mm Luger, this 1,000 round case of "white box" ammunition from Winchester can save you some serious money. These cartridges are a typical 9mm Parabellum load firing a 115 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,190 feet per second.

As a standard pressure load, this ammo works well in all 9mm pistols including older or subcompact firearms. It produces mild recoil, making it a good low-fatigue choice on the range.

These cartridges are loaded in Oxford, Mississippi using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.

Think you got enough 9mm ammo already? Sike! The Widener’s team has done extensive research into the subject, and we determined that it’s completely impossible to have enough 9mm ammo. But that’s good news, because it means everyone has all the reason they need to order a case of the good stuff by Remington!

This is Remington’s Range brand ammo, and that’s not false advertising. These rounds’ full metal jacket bullets can’t deliver the terminal expansion you’d want for self-defense, but they do everything else you want while you’re just punishing range targets. Steel-free copper jackets. Steel-free lead cores. Nonmagnetic! And because this ammo’s 124 grain FMJs achieve a muzzle velocity that’s approximately 15 fps lower than the speed of sound, you can look forward to the non-cracking reports which suit suppressor use to a T.

Remington’s Arkansas-made ammo features 100% noncorrosive Kleanbore Boxer primers, as well as the smooth-cycling virgin brass cases handloaders always like having on hand. Twenty boxes per case, so you can share with a friend – but you won’t, because Remington Range is just too darn good.

Each round in this case fires a light 115 grain full metal jacket bullet at 1,280 feet per second. This makes it a relatively powerful load among standard pressure 9mm rounds and a good stand-in for more expensive JHPs as it produces stronger recoil than most target ammo.

Sellier & Bellot ammo is made in the Czech Republic using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.

Cost Per Round 26¢ per round
This 9mm cartridge from Winchester’s USA Target Pack label is perfect for all your recreational shooting needs. Crowned with a full metal jacket projectile, it’s an economical round that neither deposits lead on a barrel’s riflings nor is inclined to jam during the transition from magazine to chamber. This round’s 115 grain projectile generates relatively little recoil, making it that much easier to empty out a pistol’s magazine on target.

Winchester doesn’t consider this ammo’s low price tag as an excuse to offer a shoddy product. The American Legend’s brass shell casings are drawn to exacting standards so as to promote smooth cycling through ny type of firearm, and are strong to resist splitting so that they can be reloaded multiple times. Winchester’s Boxer primers are non-corrosive, which alongside their modern, smokeless propellant promotes a cleaner weapon at the end of a range session. Great for the most casual plinking to the most serious training regimen!

    MANUFACTURED IN BOSNIA

Winchester is an all-American company, but that doesn’t mean they won’t enlist foreign ammo manufacturers to help them keep up with Americans’ insatiable hunger for materiel. That’s why they tagged the nation of Bosnia for this particular ammo’s production!

You may not be all that familiar with Bosnia, but you’ll recognize all of this ammo’s components in an instant. The 115 grain full metal jacket is a perfect choice for plinking and high-volume target shooting. Its light weight makes it more economical to manufacture. Its lead core and copper jacket both make it incapable of attracting a magnet. Its round nose profile ensures smooth feeding into the waiting chamber of any semi-automatic handgun or carbine.

Entertain no apprehensions about this ammo’s primers. They are noncorrosive Boxers, just like any American-made ammo would include. This ammo’s brass cases are fresh out of the factory, and its propellant is formulated for clean-shooting goodness.

Speer Lawman ammunition is widely used for police and self-defense training due to its high quality and reasonable cost. Although works well on the range for all shooters, it is particularly geared toward users of Speer Gold Dot self-defense ammo. Each Lawman load is designed to mimic the external ballistics and recoil of a more expensive Gold Dot counterpart for more realistic target practice.

This 9mm Luger ammo comes in a bulk priced case of 1,000 and fires a light 115 grain total metal jacket bullet at a high muzzle velocity of 1,200 feet per second. Unlike FMJ bullets, TMJ projectiles do not have exposed lead bases and therefore produce less airborne lead when the cartridge is fired. This is particularly advantageous at indoor ranges where ventilation can be sub-optimal.

Lawman ammunition is loaded in Lewiston, Idaho using non-corrosive primers from Speer's sister company CCI and reloadable brass cases.

Boy, do we ever got a lot of Winchester 9mm ammo in our warehouse! We could keep it all to ourselves, but our CEO says that wouldn’t be a “viable business model.” Too bad for us. But good news for you, so long as you’re inclined to train and plink with consistent American-made 9mm ammo!

If you’re a seasoned firearm enthusiast, then you already know the full metal jacket is the bullet for target practice. The FMJ’s round nose profile helps the cartridge glide into the chamber, as well as exhibit a predictable and accurate trajectory. Some companies cheapen their FMJs by adding steel to their jackets. Winchester isn’t one of them, so you’re all set if your range prohibits magnetic projectiles for safety reasons/insurance purposes.

Winchester’s noncorrosive Boxer-primed ammo is loaded with virgin brass cases, all carefully drawn to exacting standards and supple enough to reliably return to their original dimensions. That makes this ammo reloadable, so you may as well stock up on 9mm component bullets while you’re at it!

Fiocchi has been in business since the 19th century and has taken off in a big way in the US in the last several years due to the reasonable price and impressive quality of its ammo.

SAAMI defines two different max chamber pressures for 9mm ammunition: standard, which has a limit of 35,000 psi, and +P, which has a limit of 38,500 psi. But there’s yet another pressure classification for 9mm that you may not yet be aware of: NATO, which has a pressure limit of 36,500 psi. That makes this ammo a great middle ground if you’re looking for a flatter trajectory but don’t want to seriously accelerate wear and tear on your favorite 9mm firearms!

Its higher chamber pressure aside, this is Winchester’s usual range ammo – which is to say it’s high quality all around. Each FMJ bullet weighs exactly (or very close to) 124 grains, and has the solid lead core and gilding metal shell which make it perfectly nonmagnetic. Winchester’s reliable noncorrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases both do their jobs well, and their propellant won’t quickly blacken the insides of your carbine or pistol. We got the component bullets you’d need to reload this ammo, too!

Each cartridge in this case fires a medium weight 124 grain full metal jacket bullet at 1,181 feet per second. While not a +P load, this is relatively powerful for range ammunition and produces a more realistic level of recoil for those seeking to train for self-defense situations.

S&B ammo is made in the Czech Republic and uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.

Even your most casual plinking or target shooting session calls for a good range load. Why not employ a cartridge that’s good enough for U.S. Army training for so important a pastime? That’s exactly what you’ll get when you invest in this case of 9mm Service Grade ammo by Winchester!

This cartridge sports its caliber’s lightweight 115 grain projectile. The full metal jacket flat nose projectile will make your semi-automatic happy as it’s able to feed dependably, and will keep your barrel cleaner in between cleanings. The bullet also features a flat nose, so it’s a perfect choice for shooting paper targets when you want your results to be more visible and easy to interpret. The bullet’s sloping profile won’t cause a jam like a wadcutter could have, though!

This cartridge has the brass casing that handloaders need and which many ranges require. It is a solid choice for all 9mm Parabellum pistols, but works particularly well in pressure or recoil sensitive subcompact carry pistols as well as older guns that won't fire +P ammo safely or comfortably.

With this 9mm ammo by MAXXTech you’ll never have to say “BANG!” again! This round is loaded with its caliber’s lightest common bullet. At 115 grains it achieves a supersonic muzzle velocity out of a barrel as short as a handgun’s, which it will also spare from accelerated fouling courtesy of its gilding metal jacket. But new shooters take note: Although no one would voluntarily get shot by this round’s bullet, as an FMJ it’s not the best choice for self-defense. For target shooting and plinking it is top notch, though.

MAXXTech ammo is made in Goražde, Bosnia and Herzegovina by Pobjeda Technology. They’re a major manufacturer that adheres to C.I.P. standards (the Euro equivalent of SAAMI) and became ISO 9001 in the year 2000. As such they load consistent, reliable products, such as this brass cased and non-corrosive Boxer primed 9mm training ammo.

This 9mm range ammunition by Federal Premium of Minnesota isn’t just good for shooting bullseye and silhouette targets. It is great for shooting bottles. It is great for shooting cans. It is great for shooting pizza boxes. The world is your oyster when you’ve got a case of American Eagle!

These rounds’ 124 grain full metal jacket projectiles make them perfect for training if you prefer self-defense ammo with the same bullet weight. The FMJ provides very similar recoil, point of aim and trajectory to a JHP, but it costs significantly less than the more heavily engineered alternative. Federal makes an FMJ out of lead and gilding metal. That’s only to say that no part of this cartridge’s bullet can attract a magnet, so have at it at any range on your radar.

Federal doesn’t reload old cases – they draw and cut every round’s case from virgin brass, thus making this ammo a doubly good investment for a handloading enthusiast. These pistol and pistol caliber carbine cartridges are also noncorrosive, so the only rusty thing you own will be your car or truck.

This 9mm round from Winchester’s Service Grade line of ammunition features a 115 grain projectile. That bullet weight’s utility for self-defense is strongly contested by experts in the field, and is accordingly favored by prestigious law enforcement agencies including the United States Secret Service and the Federal Air Marshals. If you also prefer a 115 grain bullet for self-defense, then training with this cost-effective and reliable ammunition is a fine way to keep your skills sharp.

This round’s full metal jacket flat nose will prevent your weapon’s bore from quickly fouling with lead residue, preserving its accuracy and lessening the need for very frequent cleanings at the range. (Range time is better spent perforating sheets of paper than it is assembling cleaning rods.) This cartridge’s factory fresh and Boxer primed brass casing is the ideal stuff of handloading as well, so it’ll keep you as busy at home as it will during target practice.

You gotta spend money to make money. But you also gotta spend money if you want to do something even better than making money: shooting targets with a 9mm handgun or carbine. Here’s your chance to invest in your future fun at the range. It’s nothing less than Remington’s Range label ammo, made in Lonoke, Arkansas!

This round comes to the party with a 124 grain projectile. Remington could have given it a higher muzzle velocity than 1,110 fps if they wanted to, but instead they chose to keep it subsonic – precisely why this ammo is optimal for suppressed firearms. But no matter what make and model you’re firing, you can trust it to reliably feed this ammo’s copper-jacketed, lead-core FMJ bullets. Nonmagnetic, so you can fire away at any range on your radar!

This ammo features factory fresh reloadable brass cases, Kleanbore Boxer primers that can’t corrode steel, and temperature stable propellant which produces consistent velocity and recoil at both ends of the temperature spectrum. Do you want to shoot 100 different targets? Or shoot one target 100 times? The choice is all yours once you’ve ordered a 100-round box of Federal Premium American Eagle 9mm ammunition! This ammo promises reliable functionality out of any make and model handgun or carbine, and our fast shipping ensures you won’t go ammo-less one day longer than you have to!

This round’s 124 grain bullet delivers a satisfying balance of light recoil and flat trajectory. That 1,150 fps muzzle velocity is the product of a 4” test barrel, so you can expect subsonic performance if your piece’s barrel is any shorter. The full metal jacket’s smooth, hard gilding metal exterior prevents deformation that could impair feeding in a semi-automatic. The lead-core bullet also doesn’t contain one molecule of steel, so it’s just as nonmagnetic as a slice of buttered toast.

Federal ammo hails from Minnesota. When Minnesotans aren’t ice fishing they enjoy carefully creating and assembling reloadable brass cases and noncorrosive Boxer primers.

This 9mm cartridge by Sellier & Bellot sports a 124 grain projectile, which is a little heavier than the bullet weight its caliber most often offers. The hollow point bullet will expand dramatically as it penetrates a target, giving this round terminal performance that’s ideal for your everyday carry. The bullet features a CuZn 10 jacket, which is even harder than pure copper so it can penetrate a variety of tough barriers. This bullet’s jacket additionally reduces bore fouling, facilitates feeding in semi-automatic weapons, and sports notches around its tip which help to control expansion during penetration.

This round further offers a brand new and reloadable brass casing, uniform and sure-fire primer, and propellant which burns clean to spare your action from undue fouling. It’s always advisable to train with the same ammo you’d implement for self-defense -- with 1,000 of these hard-hitting rounds to work with, you’ll have ample opportunity to hone your self-defense skills to near perfection.
