Looks but have some issues to work through.
-
I had loaded the bullets in my 357 sig. I had a concern that in order to achieve the OAL for the load, that the case would be seating beyond the flat part of the bullet. I had emailed Zero about a week ago and had still not received any reply, I guess I’m too small of a fish to bother with. I’ll be making a trip to the range this coming week to see how they perform.
I had also loaded these same bullets for my 9MM. I ran into problems with maintaining a consistent OAL. I had set up my die to achieve a 1.115 OAL length but found an incredible range of lengths ranging on some as 1.105 - 1.235. All my cases were previously trimmed which would affect more of the crimping process anyway. I had to basically hand adjust my press for 25 out of the 50 bullets I had started with.
I can only speculate there might be a slight variance in the curve of the bullet which might allow it to contact the conical portion of the seating stem at different levels. In all fairness the issue could be with my die set which is a Lee 9mm 4 die set, though I had not run into any problems like this with any other 147 grn. round I had loaded, or even other weights for that matter, though none had the same shape end as the Zero’s.
I might do some experimenting to see if I can correct the problem with the 9mm, I do enjoy a challenge.

Nose of the bullet a little long for 357 sig
-
Not all 9mm bullets work with 357 sig. The reason is a relatively short the cartridge with a short bottle neck, therefore for the bullet needs to have a short or squatty tapered nose, so the neck will hold the flat portion of the bullet without being too long. While the photo of this bullet appears to be so, in reality the tapered nose portion of this bullet is longer than it appears in the photo. The result is this bullet barely works with a 357 sig cartridge, necessitating the use of a caliper, to seat the bullet at a minimum to still keep the cartridge the maximum length without going over. Saying this, if you are willing to jump through these hoops, these bullets cycle well and proved to be very accurat

The price was great. Cheapest I found when they were on sale. The shipping cost that is charged was outrageous. It made the deal not so good. I think it was $18 for shipping. Tried to add more boxes, it added another shipping charge for every box. If the shipping wasn't so high, between my order and the 2 friends I have that reload, would would have bought a total of around 10,000 bullets at one time and would have came back for more.

Good Product, Needs Better Packing
-
Good quality product, however whoever packs the shipment, needs to possibly wrap extra tape around the 1000 quantity bulk boxes. This is my second order, and the bulk box burst open in the shipping package and spilled out, had bullets mixed in with the brown packing paper. Another thing to try is also bag the box to contain any spills in the box . Could be a real mess if two different calibers are in the same shipment.

Gorgeous plating over beautiful shape cast lead
-
I cast lead for 9mm and tumble lube. I enjoy the process but reloading can be a little slower due to sizing and lubing. I wanted an alternative to speed up reloading on my turret press when I get a little short of completed 9mm rounds on hand or short on time. These are perfect! If I wasn't so invested into casting, I'd probably shoot these exclusively when at the range. Man they load slick and repeatable and are perfect for ranges that require no exposed lead.

Berry's 300 AAC Blackout Bullets - 220 Grain Plated Spire Point – 500 Count
$119.85
$109.85
Cost Per Bullet 22¢ per bullet Bullet Weight 220 Grain Bullet Caliber 300 AAC Blackout Quantity 500 Bullet Type Spire Point Manufacturer Berry's Manufacturer SKU 10100 Woah there, partner! These component bullets are strictly for handloading. Please make sure you don’t actually want loaded ammunition before you order Berry’s bullets!
The biggest downside to any 300 AAC Blackout rifle is finding enough ammo for it! If you’d rather not wait around, then Berry’s high quality .308” diameter bullets will get you out on the range ASAP!
These are heavy .30 caliber bullets at 220 grains apiece. That’s why they’re perfect for creating subsonic loads! And these bullets are also made to deliver intense accuraty. Each one has a swaged lead core, electroplated jacket that guarantees superior concentricity, and ballistically efficient spire point profile.
Berry’s carefully restrikes their bullets once they have been electroplated, thus ensuring uniform dimensions alongside a tight bond between the core and jacket. The electroplating process also prevents the bullets’ cores from vaporizing during ignition. That keeps their profiles consistent and your breathing air cleaner!
Berry’s recommends not loading this bullet to a muzzle velocity greater than 1,300 fps, as a faster rate may cause core/jacket separation. They also recommend a barrel with a twist 1:7 or slower.

Service and product better than expected
-
I had all the components needed to reload except bullets. I had never purchased anything from Widners but, they were the only firm that had 45 cal 230 gr bullets, also from a company with whom I had no
experience, in their inventory. In desperation, I placed my order. My order arrived in only a few days and there’s been no discernible difference in my shot groups, at the range, using these bullets. I now have a new source, Widners, and an acceptable mfg.Review by Cpts2668 (Posted on 11/23/2020)

Reloading supplies have been scarce, so I jumped at the chance to order 2000 9mm FMJ 115gr bullets from Wideners. I've dealt with them before, so knew they were a good outfit. Good quality, Great price.
-
Good consistent weight. Short 1rnd out of 2k. Large amounts of lose lead in box. I paid to have it shipped in a generic box with factory box inside, definitely a good idea. Factory box was less then sturdy. More residue after firing on surfaces the bullet contacts the firearm. Barrel did not show any unusual cleaning needs.

I was skeptical of their bullets but bought some anyway. I weighed them to see how close they were and they were very compatible with Berry's Bullets which I have used in the past. They measured right with calipers and most importantly, they were accurate. For punching holes in paper, these are no problem at all. Punch away......

Armscor .357 Diameter Bullets - 158 Grain FMJ – 1500 Count

$199.85
Cost Per Bullet 13.3¢ per bullet Bullet Weight 158 Grain Bullet Caliber 357 Mag, 357 Maximum, 38 Special Quantity 1500 Bullet Type Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Manufacturer Armscor Manufacturer SKU 52271 Please note: These are component bullets, not loaded ammunition. You can not fire these bullets unless you load your own ammunition.
Armscor is earning themselves quite a reputation here in America. Their Rock Island Armory pistols fill a nice niche for people who don’t want to auction off vital organs just to be able to afford a 1911. Their 22 TCM cartridge has promise, even if most of the people asking about it only want to know if they can fire it in a firearm chambered for 22 LR. (No.) And their component bullets, which are produced according to precise tolerances, consistently weighted, and deliver good accuracy at the range, are sought after by handloaders throughout the country.
This meaty slab of .357” diameter bullets is just the ticket for handloaders specializing in 38 Special or 357 Mag. With 1,500 bullets you be able to load 250 six-shot cylinders worth of ammo, and as full metal jackets they’re at once clean shooting and economically designed. Armscor draws a concentric jacket for what is ostensibly a target grade bullet, so your shots will benefit from satisfactory rotational stability and resultant flat trajectories. Buy ten of these cases of bullets and use them to ballast your canoe!Customer Reviews

Third batch, same excellent results
-
I bought my third lot of 1500 Armscor 158 gn FMJ from Widener's. The transaction was great, as usual. Thank you Widener's!
From a statistical standpoint the third batch was equivalent to the first two batches in terms of average weight, average diameter and the standard deviations thereof. I have strong evidence that Armscor has their process under control, but I can't be sure because I have no way of knowing the order in which the bullets are made. Still, these projectiles are of excellent quality and great value for money.
My Henry 357 lever gun and my five Smith & Wesson revolvers are super accurate with these bullets.Review by Steve (Posted on 9/1/2022)

I use these 158’s for action pistol competition. Though they are attractively priced they are also accurate in my setup.

My second batch, awww yeah
-
This review is for the second batch of Armscor 158 gn, 38/357 FMJ's I bought from Widener's.
I'll start by saying that buying from Widener's has always been a pleasure. The prices are fair, the communication is crystal clear, the rather dense product is well-packed and all of my transactions-to-date have been 100% satisfactory. In summary, Wideners' is an excellent supplier to the reloading community.
Now, regarding the bullets that just arrived. I've taken a random sample of 25 bullets just like I did with my first batch of 1500 and I measured & inspected each one. My random sampling method is rock-solid and thus my sample results can be used to make valid inferences on the entire lot of 1500 bullets. The results are great, statistically speaking. The weights and dimensions are on target with a low amount of random (expected) variation. Surface quality, bonding and other physical properties all look great. Absolutely no issues.
From my perspective, I don't think there's a better value in FMJ bullets than Armscor.
But I'll repeat. Armscor, please send primers!!!! :)Review by Steve (Posted on 7/1/2021)

Great value
-
It's not my favorite bullet weight but it was the only one I could get under these unprecedented circumstances we find ourselves in. I jumped on these as soon as I saw them as I was running low on my favorite 125 gr bullet. It's a great value and felt good shot in 38 Spl cases. I haven't tried them in 357 cases yet, but confident that it will perform as well.

Armscor makes good stuff at a great price
-
I loaded up some of these 158 FMJ's for both my revolvers and my beloved Henry Big Boy Steel. The accuracy was outstanding in all cases.
And, the bullets are a dream for reloading, easy to press into place, no hangups, nothing off kilter, etc.
Armscor....send primers. Please! :)Review by Steve (Posted on 12/31/2020)

Magtech Steel 9mm 115 Grain FMJ – 1000 Rounds **STEEL CASES**

But Russia hasn’t monopolized the steel-cased ammo business – not by a long shot. Magtech – a subsidiary of the supermassive CBC Global Ammunition group, which is headquartered in Brazil and one of the largest ammo producers in the world – is officially in the steel-cased ammo game!
This 9mm ammo’s steel cases are zinc-plated. They’re prettier because of it, and they get a little extra protection from corrosion as well. Each steel case is fitted with a noncorrosive primer, filled with clean-burning propellant, and seated with a completely nonmagnetic projectile. (Steel cases aren’t reloadable, which does make this ammo a one-and-done kind of affair.)
That projectile is the humble full metal jacket: a bullet which can’t expand upon penetrating soft tissue, but which does feed and chamber with all due efficiency. This round’s muzzle velocity (which Magtech recorded with a 4” test barrel) is just 10 fps faster than the speed of sound. The 115 grain FMJ will issue a supersonic cracking report on ignition and conserve about 91% of its starting velocity 50 yards downrange. -

It’ll keep your high-velocity .22 cal pistol ready for any kind of target shooting or plinking you could come up with!
Cursory inspection of this round’s 40 grain projectile will reveal that it is not engineered for self-defense applications. It hasn’t got a polymer tip set above a nose cavity – just a streamlined solid point profile that helps to conserve downrange momentum. The full metal jacket doesn’t contain any metals that could attract a magnet. Fire the lead-core copper-jacket bullet at any range you care to grace with your presence and you’ll be just fine.
Fiocchi doesn’t release a 5.7x28mm cartridge to the public unless it is outfitted with a new and reusable brass case, sensitive and noncorrosive Boxer primer, and uniform charge of clean-burning powder. Safe chamber pressures and clockwork cycling can be yours soon – order today and behold our fast shipping in action! -

These reliable 9mm full metal jacket flat nose rounds are great for range training. In fact they are so good, several ranges actually sell them on site. Why do they do this? Because these bullets share a similar affect with wadcutter rounds, making a round hole on impact instead of the normal frayed hole, in order to help with scoring. Flying out of the muzzle at 1000 feet per second, you are sure to punch out the bull's eye with these reliable rounds. Don't miss out on this fantastic deal on 1000 rounds!

This shell is loaded with a tiny little slug. At 1/4 ounce (i.e. ~109 grains), it actually weighs less than most 9mm bullets. Its muzzle velocity out of a shotgun’s barrel is way higher than anything a standard pressure 9mm could do, however. Once that solid lead cylinder hits 1,500 fps, it’s due to arrive at a close-range target with all the energy it needs to inflict plenty of damage. Over 500 ft lbs at close range!
These rounds are loaded with nonmagnetic projectiles, clean-burning powder, and primers that absolutely will not corrode your favorite .410 cal hardware. You get 20 boxes when you order the whole case! -

Each round in this case of 56 boxes is decked out with a virgin brass case, which means you can expect overall cleaner performance. Better yet, Igman loads the Boxer primers brass-cased ammo needs in order to be reloaded! This new production ammo’s primers cannot deposit corrosive residue in your firearm’s barrel, and they’re sealed for added protection against humidity in storage.
If you are familiar with Wolf and Tula, then you know their bi-metal jacketed bullets contain steel, will attract a magnet, and are forbidden at many commercial ranges. Igman’s 123 grain full metal jacket bullets do not share this problem. These lead-core bullets’ jackets are made of tombac – a hard alloy of copper and zinc – which leaves them wholly incapable of attracting a magnet. Great for all ranges! -

The ISO certified Serbian company’s Rangemaster line of ammunition exemplifies their best work, making this 5.56x45 ammo ideal for serious training, laid-back plinking and prepping alike!
This cartridge is nearly identical to the U.S. Armed Forces’ M193 load (the main difference being that it is loaded in Serbia and not America, of course). The cartridge’s 55 grain FMJBT projectile exits the muzzle at 3,240 fps to attain a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.248, so it remains far faster than 2,000 fps at 300 yards. The FMJBT does this thanks to its sleek and symmetrical jacket profile, uniformly distributed lead core, and boat tail which serves to measurably reduce in-flight drag.
Perhaps most importantly, Prvi Partizan’s FMJBT is nonmagnetic. You can fire it at any commercial range you would like, where you’ll also notice this ammo’s clean performance thanks to its supple brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and high-quality propellant. -

How about a real emergency – the kind that only canned goods, candles, and brass-cased ammo can carry you through? So long as your firearm is chambered for 5.56x45 and you like thinking ahead, this case of ammo by Winchester is a much-needed addition to your stockpile.
This is just about the most elemental ammo you could have on hand. Each cartridge is faithfully loaded according to M193 specifications, with a full metal jacket bullet to prevent feeding issues and accelerated barrel leading. You won’t get expansion out of an FMJ, but you’ll still get the kind of terminal ballistics that prove so effective for home defense. At 55 grains this round’s bullet reliably achieves a muzzle velocity in the range of 3,180 fps. That’ll treat you to the satisfyingly flat trajectory you need to thread distant targets.
Winchester’s USA ammo features newly forged brass cases, sensitive and non-corrosive Boxer primers for reloadability, and of course clean-burning powder. Don’t look for any steel in this nonmagnetic ammo – you won’t find it!Customer Reviews

Winchester 7.62x51 149 Grain FMJ M80 – 500 Rounds

Manufacturer Winchester Condition New Bullet Weight 149 Grain Bullet Type Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJ-BT) Use Type plinking at the range Casing Type Brass Quantity 500 Ammo Caliber 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Manufacturer SKU WM80 Primer Type Boxer Magnetic Yes UPC Barcode R0818202110085 Cost Per Round 99¢ per round Don’t get stuck without the 7.62x51 ammunition you need to make the most of your time at the range or defend your household during an emergency. Winchester’s 500-round case of 7.62x51 ammo will keep any AR-10, M5E1, PA10, C308, PTR 91, SA58 FAL, M1A, SCAR-17S or 308 Win hunting rifle extremely well-fed!
This cartridge is just like the U.S. Armed Forces M80 ball load, even if its bullet weighs 149 grains and not 147. The FMJ is engineered for reliable feeding and low barrel fouling – not terminal expansion – and its ballistically efficient profile is naturally able to retain a flat trajectory over several hundreds of yards. The bullet’s cannelure lets the case mouth grip it more securely, thus avoiding setback under heavy recoil. This particular bullet’s jacket is fortified with steel, which does make it magnetic.
This ammunition is manufactured according to military standards. It accordingly has non-corrosive Boxer primers, as well as virgin brass cases. The cases admittedly look a little rough around the edges, although we assure you they are not previously fired and reloaded. Winchester simply skips polishing the cases after heat-treating them, because military personnel don’t really give a hoot about shiny cases. -

Just like milspec M855, these rounds use 62 grain bullets with light-amor penetrating* steel tips which are painted green for easy identification. As a result, these rounds will match ballistic tables and ballistic drop compensation (BDC) reticles commonly used with modern low power scopes. The reloadable brass casings are annealed at the neck and shoulder for added strength (useful to reloaders) while the non-corrosive Boxer primers are bordered by moisture-blocking sealant. The bullets are full metal jacket (FMJ) and possess toothed cannelures to prevent projectile setback.
PMC is a South Korean based company that sources its ammunition from plants that supply to the ROK military as well as other to other NATO countries. Their X-TAC line is highly regarded for adhering to stringent military specification while still maintaining an inexpensive price for all shooters.
*While this is not armor-penetrating ammunition by definition, some ranges will not allow these rounds to be fired indoors nor outdoors on certain steel targets.

Best M855 I’ve shot
-
I’ve purchased dozens of cases of PMC XTAC M855 because they shoot great in both my 16” 1:7 spin carbine and my 20” 1;9 barrels. Also, they have EXCELLENT brass cases for reloading and last many reloads/firing cycles.
If you want to store these long term, they are sealed completely and should last for decades if stored in a clean sealed container.
BTW, when I started buying these ~10 years ago, they $.17/rnd. Save your brass even if you don’t reload yourself.Review by Pasky2112 (Posted on 8/14/2021)

Best M855 round
-
This is the best M855 ammo I've ever bought. It's not second class or third class M855 like what Lake City is that the public can purchase. PMC sale first rate M855 to the public at a fair price and it's very clean brass.

Winchester USA 5.56x45 62 Grain FMJ M855 – 1000 Rounds

Manufacturer Winchester Condition New Bullet Weight 62 Grain Bullet Type Penetrator Use Type home defense, plinking at the range Casing Type Brass Quantity 1000 Ammo Caliber 5.56x45mm Manufacturer SKU WM8551000 Primer Type Boxer Magnetic Yes UPC Barcode 020892228702 Cost Per Round 51¢ per round This 5.56x45 ammo by Winchester is magnetic. That’s not because Winchester sought to cut down on production costs by implementing bimetal jackets, but rather because they manufactured these rounds according to M855 specifications!
Each cartridge sports a 62 grain penetrator bullet. Its tip is only green because it is painted, not made of polymer. That indicates the front end of its core is made of pure steel. Steel hardens the bullet’s tip substantially, giving the shooter a huge advantage when he wants to penetrate sheet metal.
Magnetic bullets are not permitted at some indoor ranges because the steel inside them could create sparks or damage range equipment. You’ll want to call ahead to check a range’s policy on magnetic ammo before you take M855 to their premises. Steel can also cause a ricochet, making this ammo a poor choice for tactical training with steel targets!
Our customers are often concerned about the appearance of this ammo’s cases. To be certain, this is not reloaded ammo – the manufacturer just skipped buffing out the grayness on the cases after heat-treating them.Customer Reviews

4 stars on the quality because some of the bullet cases were crushed/deformed. Otherwise great.
