Small Pistol Magnum Primers

Small pistol magnum primers are a must-have for reloaders of many handgun cartridges with "Magnum" in the name such as the .357 Magnum. They are stronger than normal primers in order to withstand the greater forces involved in firing a magnum load.

SPM primers measure .175" (4.45mm) in diameter and are used not only for the aforementioned magnum cartridge but also for slower-burning powders.

Remington, CCI, and Federal are just a few of the names involved in producing quality small pistol magnum primers for sale - many of which, you'll find in-stock here at Widener's.

    The trays are annoying

They work as advertise. I've never used any primer that didn't Wolf CCI Remington Federal all work just fine; and yes I have tested them all against one another under sterile conditions. The primary difference between primer brands is the packaging. CCI and Wolf are my preferred as they're easiest to flip. Federal for whatever reason feels bigger packaging is more important Remington is by far the leader in least packaging used. Both Federal and Remington annoy me because the primers are packaged in their side instead of face up or down. Overall though storage is key, cool and dry and whatever you purchased will work fine.
