Each projectile is swaged and copper plated to final weight, then the bullets are re-struck to insure the plating and sizing are consistent. Copper plated bullets are more affordable than jacketed projectiles and are not as dirty as traditional cast lead bullets.

I have used Berry's plated bullets in different calibers. I believe they are well worth every penny spent.

I have used Berry's plated FMJ bullets for several years. But this is only the second time I have used the .380 bullets. I find they are excellent quality bullets for practice on the range. In the econony of today's world, I think they are a good investment.

    So far, so good!

I've reloaded these bullets with 4 different kinds of powder. Of the 4, HS6 and W572 were by far the best. No failures, cycled the action quickly and flawlessly, accuracy was good and the barrel stayed clean. These bullets also load easily. Highly recommended.

Review by dave (Posted on 11/22/2021)

    Good Product, Needs Better Packing

Good quality product, however whoever packs the shipment, needs to possibly wrap extra tape around the 1000 quantity bulk boxes. This is my second order, and the bulk box burst open in the shipping package and spilled out, had bullets mixed in with the brown packing paper. Another thing to try is also bag the box to contain any spills in the box . Could be a real mess if two different calibers are in the same shipment.

    Berry's 9MM 124 Grain

This was the first time I have ever ordered from you and I guarantee that I will order from you again. The 9MM 124 Grain Plated RN-DS works perfectly in my S&W M&P. I highly recommend this product and company. They shipped it within 24 hours of ordering. Can't say enough good stuff about you.

Review by CGD (Posted on 12/27/2016)

Gorgeous plating over beautiful shape cast lead

I cast lead for 9mm and tumble lube. I enjoy the process but reloading can be a little slower due to sizing and lubing. I wanted an alternative to speed up reloading on my turret press when I get a little short of completed 9mm rounds on hand or short on time. These are perfect! If I wasn't so invested into casting, I'd probably shoot these exclusively when at the range. Man they load slick and repeatable and are perfect for ranges that require no exposed lead.

Woah there, partner! These component bullets are strictly for handloading. Please make sure you don’t actually want loaded ammunition before you order Berry’s bullets!

The biggest downside to any 300 AAC Blackout rifle is finding enough ammo for it! If you’d rather not wait around, then Berry’s high quality .308” diameter bullets will get you out on the range ASAP!

These are heavy .30 caliber bullets at 220 grains apiece. That’s why they’re perfect for creating subsonic loads! And these bullets are also made to deliver intense accuraty. Each one has a swaged lead core, electroplated jacket that guarantees superior concentricity, and ballistically efficient spire point profile.

Berry’s carefully restrikes their bullets once they have been electroplated, thus ensuring uniform dimensions alongside a tight bond between the core and jacket. The electroplating process also prevents the bullets’ cores from vaporizing during ignition. That keeps their profiles consistent and your breathing air cleaner!

Berry’s recommends not loading this bullet to a muzzle velocity greater than 1,300 fps, as a faster rate may cause core/jacket separation. They also recommend a barrel with a twist 1:7 or slower.

    Bullet OAL: 1.350”

Cost Per Round 67.4¢ per round
This 224 Valkyrie cartridge from Federal’s American Eagle line of ammunition sports a 75 grain projectile, which is heavy compared to other cartridges of its size but not uncommon for its caliber. The bullet features a total metal jacket -- because even its base is enclosed by its jacket, you’ll produce substantially fewer lead fumes when you fire it. That makes it perfect for use in poorly ventilated indoor ranges, or for high volume shooters who know they’d do well to limit their lungs’ exposure to toxic gasses. This bullet’s jacket further prevents rapid lead fouling in a rifle’s bore, preserving the very accuracy that the 224 Valkyrie cartridge is renowned for.

This round also offers a factory fresh brass casing which is ideal for handloading, a non-corrosive primer which is reliable enough to guarantee a shot with every trigger pull, and clean burning propellant which will spare your bore and action from becoming encrusted with caustic residues. Its agreeable price and number of features make this cartridge a must for range training, and with 200 of them to go through you’ll be quite content the next time you venture to the range or woods.

    UPC Barcode 00020892227767
Cost Per Round 72.4¢ per round
This 9mm Silvertip cartridge represents Winchester’s steadfast approach to providing reliable self-defense solutions for their fans. Its 147 grain bullet is silver indeed (albeit in color only), and possesses the mass requisite for deep penetration of a target. The Silvertip bullet profile is optimized for both unfailing feeding from a magazine as well as superior accuracy.

After it has entered its target, the bullet’s precision formed nose cavity and notched jacket work hand in hand to deliver fast, uniform expansion meant to level a threat toot suite. It’s one of Winchester’s older bullet designs, and they’ve kept it because it’s demonstrably effective at what it’s designed to do.

The Silvertip bullet is accompanied by a responsive and non-corrosive primer, which ignites clean burning propellant to produce a 1,010 fps muzzle velocity. (If your handgun is equipped with a suppressor, this round will complement its performance.) This round’s shell casing is made of freshly cupped and drawn brass, and makes an ideal handloading ingredient once vacated.
  9. Hornady Critical Defense 22 WMR 45 Grain FTX – 500 Rounds

    Magnetic No
    UPC Barcode 20090255832000
Cost Per Round 33¢ per round
This 22 WMR cartridge by Hornady is poised to give your snubnosed pistol exactly what it needs to become an effective tool for self-defense. Its 45 grain FTX projectile penetrates deeply -- as much as 11” in bare ballistic gel -- so it has got the power it needs to make it to a threat’s vitals. The FTX’s Flex Tip is soft, and initiates catastrophic expansion as it burrows through a target. The solid polymer tube further serves to ensure that the FTX’s hollow point nose cavity doesn’t become obstructed by fabric upon impact.

A Critical Defense load’s brass casing is plated with shiny nickel, which facilitates a chamber check in a dark environment. Nickel also protects this round’s sensitive components from corrosion, and ensures smoother feeding and ejection as well. Hornady had the foresight to load this round with low-flash propellant, so bright muzzle flashes won’t chip away at your night vision and worsen your ability to place accurate follow-up shots.

    – Ogden Nash

Do you need a whole case of 308 Win ammunition for your next boar hunting adventure? Or are you setting your sights on whitetail, blacktail or mule deer? Prvi Partizan’s soft point ammunition makes a swell solution for hunting a wide range of medium game, and it’s not so dearly priced that you’ll have to pawn off all of your kids’ toys to afford it.

The soft point isn’t an excessively engineered projectile. It owes its ability to flatten out and rotate about inside soft tissue to its exposed lead core, which deforms when it presses hard against the quarry. The soft point’s jacket is concentric and streamlined enough to provide accurate flight, and it’s also durable enough to prevent fragmentation that could have robbed the bullet of effective penetration depth.

Prvi Partizan has loaded fine ammunition for nearly a century. Today their Serbian factory rolls high-quality brass to produce reloadable brass cases, and they exclusively load noncorrosive Boxer primers. This ammo is nonmagnetic, so feel free to take it to your favorite commercial range for target practice, too!

Most Fiocchi ammunition sold in the US is loaded in Ozark, Missouri with the balance being imported from Lecco, Italy. Fiocchi has been in business since the 19th century and has taken off in a big way in the US in the last several years due to the reasonable price and impressive quality of its ammo.

These cartridges use non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. Each case contains 1,000 rounds--perfect for bulk savings.

Ammo Inc. produces their own high-quality components at their factory in Wisconsin and assembles them with great care to give you just what you need to start punishing bullseyes and silhouettes all day long. Welcome to your next case of 300 AAC Blackout ammunition!

This round’s 150 grain full metal jacket is unsophisticated yet reliable. Its balanced lead core and concentric copper-alloy jacket give the bullet the gyroscopic stability it requires to hold a tight trajectory. Its sleek frontal profile equips the bullet to conserve more velocity and fly flatter downrange. Its absence of steel means that a magnet can’t do anything to this ammo’s bullets. All perfect when you just want to get your target shoot on!

Ammo Inc.’s noncorrosive Boxer primers and Hyperclean Technology propellant work hand in hand to promote impressively low-residue operation, and their new pure brass cases cycle efficiently even after they’ve been reloaded. Grab this 5,250 round case of .22 LR ammunition for all your rimfire shooting needs--high volume target practice or mass varmint extermination. This ammo comes in 10 boxes containing 525 rounds each and delivers reliable performance at a very reasonable price.

Each cartridge in this case fires a 36-grain copper plated hollow point (CPHP) bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,260 feet per second. The hollow point expands and fragments for excellent lethality against squirrels, rabbits, nutria, and other pests. This is "high velocity" ammo that performs well in semi automatic pistols and rifles and maintains effectiveness at medium range. It can be fired through a suppressed firearm but will produce a loud boom or crack as it crosses the sound barrier, which somewhat reduces the suppressor's usefulness.

Champion ammo is intended to be both affordable and effective. It is loaded in Anoka, Minnesota by Federal Premium Ammunition, a division of the Vista Outdoor group.

    Customer Reviews

Ok for rifle. Auto pistol is a disappointment.

Consistency from round to round will not make your automatic pistol cycle, correct. There are rounds under powered by 50%. It could be just the lot of ammunition that I have because I have never experienced this before from a federal product. I will not buy this blue box federal again I have also heard my contemporaries complain about Winchester white box. I will have to look into this further.

Review by Sharpshooter (Posted on 3/22/2023)

Very good ammo for a very good price

I've been very impressed over time with how consistent and accurate this stuff is. In two old target rifles, it's been as or more accurate than any mid- to high-grade match ammo I've tried. With one, an old Martini, if I do my part I've gotten sub-two inch groups at 100 yards on a good day.

    Consistent, clean, and accurate.

Bullet Type Hornady Action Pistol (HAP)
    Manufacturer Hornady
    Manufacturer SKU 35528B

Hornady Action Pistol (HAP) bullets are a direct response to competitive shooters buying up XTP projectiles for their reloading needs. By comparison to XTPs, the HAP design is less expensive and not designed to expand, but retains the hollow cavity, longer body, and immaculate jacket and lead core quality that match shooters have come to appreciate. That makes these .355 inch diameter bullets a smart choice for custom handloads that will be used in IDPA, USPSA, IPSC, or just practice.

Each projectile weighs in at 115 grains and has a copper-jacketed profile that is appropriate for high-velocity loads. The sleek, slanted ogive feeds excellently while the core and jacket exhibit a high level of uniformity in their dimensions and density. This balance will contribute to more accurate loads once your cartridges are complete. Hornady has been around since 1949 and makes some of the most unique, sought-after projectiles in the United States.

    WoW!

I'm an accuracy nut, an 82-year-old accuracy nut. NRA Classified Lifetime master, Aw the good old days!

After switching from 1911's to Glock for CCDW & Home defense I became obsessed with the idea of getting my Glock’s to shoot like my custom 1911 target guns.

So, to make a long story short, using the 115 gr. Hornady HAP bullets and shooting from my ransom rest at 25 yards I can now get consistent 5 shot groups less than 2 inches at 25 yards, and 10 shot groups frequently 2 inches, or less at the same distance.

They are listed as a target bullet but shooting them and FMJ bullets into soft dirt, and mud 10 to 15 yards they do expand and the size of impact holes are noticeable larger with the HAP bullet.

Reliability in feeding? I had to work with the overall length a while, but this is my 3rd case of these and have not had a single failure to function since the first 200 rounds while working out what the overall length my guns liked.

Hornady 115 gr. HAP, That’s my bullet for 9mm.

This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge by Hornady features its manufacturer’s own 143 grain ELD-X projectile. Hailed as an incredibly effective means for all-distance hunting, the ELD-X makes short work of a far away target thanks to its ability to expand tremendously while retaining up to 90 percent of its weight for assured deep penetration. It’s efficacious at taking down nearer game thanks to its InterLock ring, which fights high velocity impact to ensure that it retains no less than half of its weight.

The ELD-X boasts the superior accuracy needed to hunt distant bucks as well. Its boat tail design and secant ogive profile both contribute to its high ballistic coefficient, and the latter additionally grants the bullet a lesser bearing surface. The ELD-X’s AMP jacket lends its great concentricity to the creation a flat trajectory, and its Heat Shield tip will not lose its pointed symmetry in response to aerodynamic heating. This round’s bullet is complemented splendidly by its high quality brass casing, consistent propellant’s performance, and sensitive primer. You’ll be pleased to have a whole case of this exciting ammo poised and ready to go for your upcoming hunts!

Do you live in a place where you could feasibly plink all day long, if only noise weren’t a concern? Have you got a rug rat who’s ready to start appreciating the shooting sports, but you don’t want to introduce them with a big, scary bang? Are you sick and tired of wearing ear protection when you shoot because it makes your head look funny? You don’t have to answer -- we can’t hear you from over here, anyway. But nonetheless, we believe you need this case of Quiet-22 ammo by CCI.

This 22 LR cartridge has got its caliber’s standard 40 grain LRN, but it only achieves a 710 muzzle velocity. Its report is 75 percent quieter than a comparable standard load, so it’s about as subtle as can be. Such a bullet is optimal for plinking, and ought to be sufficient for dealing with troubles of the rodent variety as well. A rat generally doesn’t care if the 40 grains that hit it are going supersonic or much slower. CCI’s brass casing is high quality enough to work in any sort of firearm, but you’d quickly find that this round’s power is insufficient to cycle a semi-automatic.

Pigman is a superhero who fights crime with the powers of squealing and bacon. Igman is a Bosnian ammo manufacturer that has been in the game since 1950. Don’t confuse the two!

Igman’s 7.62x39 ammunition is a step above what you’re accustomed to if you’ve only ever fired Wolf or Tula’s Russian-made ammo. Each round in this case of 56 boxes is decked out with a virgin brass case, which means you can expect overall cleaner performance. Better yet, Igman loads the Boxer primers brass-cased ammo needs in order to be reloaded! This new production ammo’s primers cannot deposit corrosive residue in your firearm’s barrel, and they’re sealed for added protection against humidity in storage.

If you are familiar with Wolf and Tula, then you know their bi-metal jacketed bullets contain steel, will attract a magnet, and are forbidden at many commercial ranges. Igman’s 123 grain full metal jacket bullets do not share this problem. These lead-core bullets’ jackets are made of tombac – a hard alloy of copper and zinc – which leaves them wholly incapable of attracting a magnet. Great for all ranges!

Prvi Partizan’s ammo is highly regarded for its quality, reliability and versatility – but it’s not known for its high price tags. The ISO certified Serbian company’s Rangemaster line of ammunition exemplifies their best work, making this 5.56x45 ammo ideal for serious training, laid-back plinking and prepping alike!

This cartridge is nearly identical to the U.S. Armed Forces’ M193 load (the main difference being that it is loaded in Serbia and not America, of course). The cartridge’s 55 grain FMJBT projectile exits the muzzle at 3,240 fps to attain a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.248, so it remains far faster than 2,000 fps at 300 yards. The FMJBT does this thanks to its sleek and symmetrical jacket profile, uniformly distributed lead core, and boat tail which serves to measurably reduce in-flight drag.

Perhaps most importantly, Prvi Partizan’s FMJBT is nonmagnetic. You can fire it at any commercial range you would like, where you’ll also notice this ammo’s clean performance thanks to its supple brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and high-quality propellant.

Get your fill of M855 style ammo with this 1000 round bulk pack of PMC's X-TAC NATO 5.56mm. Just like milspec M855, these rounds use 62 grain bullets with light-amor penetrating* steel tips which are painted green for easy identification. As a result, these rounds will match ballistic tables and ballistic drop compensation (BDC) reticles commonly used with modern low power scopes. The reloadable brass casings are annealed at the neck and shoulder for added strength (useful to reloaders) while the non-corrosive Boxer primers are bordered by moisture-blocking sealant. The bullets are full metal jacket (FMJ) and possess toothed cannelures to prevent projectile setback.

PMC is a South Korean based company that sources its ammunition from plants that supply to the ROK military as well as other to other NATO countries. Their X-TAC line is highly regarded for adhering to stringent military specification while still maintaining an inexpensive price for all shooters.

*While this is not armor-penetrating ammunition by definition, some ranges will not allow these rounds to be fired indoors nor outdoors on certain steel targets.

    Best M855 I’ve shot

I’ve purchased dozens of cases of PMC XTAC M855 because they shoot great in both my 16” 1:7 spin carbine and my 20” 1;9 barrels. Also, they have EXCELLENT brass cases for reloading and last many reloads/firing cycles.
If you want to store these long term, they are sealed completely and should last for decades if stored in a clean sealed container.
BTW, when I started buying these ~10 years ago, they $.17/rnd. Save your brass even if you don’t reload yourself.

    Best M855 round

This is the best M855 ammo I've ever bought. It's not second class or third class M855 like what Lake City is that the public can purchase. PMC sale first rate M855 to the public at a fair price and it's very clean brass.

Winchester’s USA label doesn’t just stand for American-made. It stands for consistent quality and satisfying target-grade accuracy that you’ll want to take with you whenever you visit the range.

Winchester manufactures their white box ammo specifically for the civilian shooter. They did load this 5.56x45 ammo to our military’s M193 specifications, however, which means it offers the same kind of performance which most veterans of the Armed Forces must already be familiar with.

This cartridge has a 55 grain full metal jacket projectile. At that weight it achieves a steady 3,180 fps muzzle velocity, which will keep it traveling at supersonic speed until around 700 yards – well beyond the 5.56’s effective range. The FMJ’s hard jacket promotes positive functioning in a semi-auto courtesy of its ability to feed smoothly and prevent rapid fouling. This round’s FMJ cannot expand inside soft tissue, although it may fragment apart at higher velocities.

This ammo also sports virgin brass cases. You will notice that they are discolored in the areas where they were annealed, which indicates that the brass is elastic enough to return to its original dimensions after ignition. Alongside their non-corrosive Boxer primers, that makes this ammo’s cases perfect for handloaders.

This 5.56x45 ammo by Winchester is magnetic. That’s not because Winchester sought to cut down on production costs by implementing bimetal jackets, but rather because they manufactured these rounds according to M855 specifications!

Each cartridge sports a 62 grain penetrator bullet. Its tip is only green because it is painted, not made of polymer. That indicates the front end of its core is made of pure steel. Steel hardens the bullet’s tip substantially, giving the shooter a huge advantage when he wants to penetrate sheet metal.

Magnetic bullets are not permitted at some indoor ranges because the steel inside them could create sparks or damage range equipment. You’ll want to call ahead to check a range’s policy on magnetic ammo before you take M855 to their premises. Steel can also cause a ricochet, making this ammo a poor choice for tactical training with steel targets!

Our customers are often concerned about the appearance of this ammo’s cases. To be certain, this is not reloaded ammo – the manufacturer just skipped buffing out the grayness on the cases after heat-treating them.

    Good buy

4 stars on the quality because some of the bullet cases were crushed/deformed. Otherwise great.
